アンダービースティー、結成6周年の記念日にYouTubeの生放送で配信リリースになる新曲を初披露

5月18日、それはアンダービースティーがこの世界に黒い産声を力強く上げた日。本当なら彼女たちは、5月20日に新木場STUDIO COASTを舞台に華々しく6周年を祝う単独公演を行うはすだった。
ご存じのように今、日本はまだ大勢の観客たちを集めたライブを行うのが難しい環境にある。本当なら、広い新木場STUDIO COASTの会場へ大勢の人たちを呼び入れ、巨大なオクタゴンスピーカーから爆音を鳴らし、詰めかけた人たちを熱狂の坩堝の中へ落とし込む……はずだった。

アンダービースティーは、今回の公演を「中止」ではなく「開催延期」と発表した。理由は聴かずともわかるだろう。新木場STUDIO COASTという舞台に立ち「確かな爪痕」を残すことを目標に走り続けてきた5人だからこそ、この場を素通りするなど気持ちが許さなかった。新たな公演日が何時になるのかは、この騒動が終息するまで具体的な発表は出来ないが、彼女たちは「かならず新木場STUDIO COASTの舞台に立つ」ことを誓っているように、そのときが訪れるのを暫し待っててもらいたい。
本当なら、5月20日にエイベックスよりメジャー流通で発売になるはずだった最新シングル「Real Blade」も発売延期になってしまった。そちらも、新たな発売日が決まり次第お伝えしよう。
ここまで悲しいお知らせを記してきたが、本当に伝えたかったのは、心がにやけるHAPPYなニュースだ。　　

アンダービースティーは、ユニット結成日である5月18日に自身のYouTubeチャンネルを通し「6周年記念特別番組」を放送した。同放送では、いくつもの質問に答える形を取りながら、普段ではなかなか耳にすることの出来ない各メンバーの心模様を楽しく覗くことができた。
さらにこの日の放送で、アンダービースティーは新曲の「Trust in…」を初披露。同楽曲を配信限定でリリースすることも伝えてくれた。「夢の続き今からでも見れるよ」「確かに希望がある　まだやれる」など、信頼する仲間たちとの絆を胸に突き進む意志を記したこの楽曲。何時もなら力強く挑戦的な姿勢を示すことの多いアンダービースティーだが、「Trust in…」 では、胸の内に抱き続けている想いを、支えてくれる人たちに告白するように優しく温かく伝えている。メンバーいわく、「ファンの方を想って書いた」新曲の具体的な配信リリース日などは、詳細が出次第改めてお伝えしよう。最期に、メンバーたちからコメントが届いたので紹介したい。
