予想を越えた衝撃のタッグ。団長×広末慧、1stMV「ヨル」の解禁に合わせ始動!!

NoGoDのヴォーカリストの団長と、ギタリストの広末慧が急接近。異なる強烈な個性を持つ2人が手を組み、NEW STANDARDを作り上げようとロックバンドを立ち上げた。それが、団長×広末慧になる。
とてもシンプルでわかりやすい名前だ。むしろ、この2人だからこそ、飾りたてた名前を掲げるよりも自分たちの名前を連ねることが、何にも増して「強烈なインパクトを与える」ことをわかっている。2人の名前を目にしたとき、「一体どんな科学反応が起きるのか」と、期待を覚えた人たちも多いだろう。その心のざわめきを裏切らない活動を、団長×広末慧はこれから起こしてゆく。

改めて2人を紹介しよう。今年結成15周年を迎えたヘヴィメタルハードロックを軸に据えたヴィジュアル系バンドのNoGoD。団長は、白塗り姿の強烈な存在感と漫才師に負けぬマシンガントークでつねに強烈なインパクトを与えてきた、NoGoDの顔となる実力派ヴォーカリスト。
広末慧は、ギタリストとして亜沙(和楽器バンド)、綾野ましろ、崎山つばさ、小野友樹、上坂すみれなど数多くの作品に参加。レコーディングのみならずライブのサポートメンバーとしても、様々なジャンルのアーティストたちから声のかかる人気プレイヤー。
以前から繋がりのあった2人だが、なぜ今のタイミングで一緒にバンドを組んだのか。その謎は、追々伝えよう。

団長×広末慧、一番の特徴が団長の持ち味である伸びやかなハイトーンを活かした野太い声質を活かしながらも、その歌声をヘヴィメタルというフォーマット以外に組み込んだところ。団長が白塗りメイクを落としている理由も、そこにある。その姿勢を示す最初のアクションとして公開したのが、1stMV作品の「ヨル」になる。

作詞・作曲を広末慧が担当。目の前に幸せをつかみながらも、過去の想いにいまだ縛られる女性の恋心を、団長が哀愁抱いた声を絵筆に歌唱。割り切れない心模様を積み重ね、募る想いを吐き散らすように歌う団長の声へ、広末慧の高揚を与えるソリッドかつ泣き濡れるギターの旋律が悲しみの色を塗り重ねてゆく。
MVには、熱情し歌う団長と、クールに装いながらも攻めた姿勢を見せる広末慧の姿が映し出されている。中に登場する「ヨル」ヒロインを模した熊のぬいぐるみは、MVでは無残にも切り刻まれてしまうのだが、そこに込めた彼らの真意も、それぞれに探っていただきたい。

　さらに今回、団長×広末慧のtwitter上に1本の動画を公開。その中で団長は、団長×広末慧のオリジナル曲「ヨル」、亜沙(和楽器バンド)の人気曲「吉原ラメント」、綾野ましろが歌った「Fate/stay night」のOP曲「ideal white」の3曲をメドレーで披露。広末慧の得意分野である、ヲタク心を刺激するキャッチーで胸熱メロウなポップロックチューンはもちろん。2次元や2.5次元寄りの楽曲(とくに今回は女性ヴォーカル曲)を団長が歌うことで、その歌声へ何時も以上に男の哀愁を覚えてゆく。雄々しさではなく、団長の中に潜む優しさや切なさを活かした表情の数々を耳にしていると、団長×広末慧が描き出そうとしている心揺さぶるロックナンバーの数々が、これからどんな風に我々の前に現れるのか楽しみになる。
「ヨル」は、近いうちに配信リリースを予定中。先に公開した他の2曲や、まだまだ表に出していない楽曲たちが、これからどんな心模様(曲調)を持って示されるのかを、今は楽しみにしていたい。

　 団長×広末慧が最初に示した今回のアクション、NoGoD・広末慧それぞれの動きと並行し、どのように進んでいくのか。何時もの姿とは異なる2人の魅力がどんな風に開花してゆくのか、引き続き、その動きをお伝えしよう。
