ヴィジュアル系若手対バンシリーズ「KHIMAIRA」にMUCC電撃参戦決定！

若手ヴィジュアル系バンドの登竜門的対バンイベント「KHIMAIRA vol.6」、10月26日(土)池袋EDGE公演にMUCCの出演が決定した。

本イベントは今年4月に開催された3DAYSより始動。
新世代ヴィジュアル系元年を謳い、ヴィジュアル系バンドの聖地ともいえる池袋EDGEでレギュラーイベントとして開催されている。
結成間もない気鋭の若手バンドが、日頃ではあり得ないレジェンドバンドと対バンし、その姿から刺激を受ける成長物語の側面もある「KHIMAIRA」。
これまでYUKI-starring Raphael-、Royz、DaizyStripper、deadmanといった存在がSPECIAL GUESTとして登場し、その背中でヴィジュアル系シーンの歴史と意志を伝えてきた。
そしてvol.6の今回はついにMUCCが登場する。

イベントをオーガナイズする山内秀一が“若手バンドに、いまだ体験したことのない世界を感じさせてほしい”と出演を直談判し、趣旨を聞いたリーダー・ミヤが即断したことが発端となり決定したプレミアムな公演となる。
これまで日本武道館、幕張メッセと国内を代表する大会場を沸かせてきたMUCCにとって、最大収容250人の池袋EDGEへの出演は初めてのことだ。

MUCCは今年6月からおよそ2ヶ月に渡って開催したツアー「Love Together」で、ゲストバンドとして様々な後輩バンドを招き、共に全国を廻った。
このアクションは、尻に火を点ける刺激的なバンドの到来を待ち侘びたMUCC流の、シーンへの愛情と問いかけであることは明白だ。
また、彼ら自身も、キャリアが大きく離れた新世代のバンドの実力と才能に目を張るものがあったという。
だからこそ実現に至った本公演、MUCCはSPECIAL GUESTではなく、あくまで対等な立場で出演する。
11月5日(火)Zepp Shinjuku公演よりスタートする、MUCC TOUR 2024 「Daydream」前にどのようなステージを披露するのか注目だ。

今回「KHIMAIRA vol.6」に出演するのは「Love Together」ツアーですでにMUCCと共演を果たし、ビッグインパクトを残したCHAQLA.とMAMA.。さらに海外公演も精力的に行うNAZARE、九州を拠点に勢いに乗る「#没」の4組。
いずれも新世代を代表するバンドであると共に、MUCCの音楽を聴き、キッズとして実際にライヴに足を運び、大きな影響受けてきている。

そして、彼らは今回のMUCCとの共演を知らされておらず、本ニュースを見てこの事実を初めて知ることになる。

思い出作りで終わるなら所詮そこまで。
