THE TON-UP MOTORS、フルアルバムを2015年1月に発売

北海道全土に渡り、テレビ、ラジオで活躍する上杉周大がヴォーカルを務めるソウルロックバンド「THE TON-UP MOTORS」が、メジャー移籍後2枚目のフルアルバムをリリースすることを発表した。

THE TON-UP MOTORSは、今年から上杉周大が北海道日本ハムファイターズの公式球団歌の歌唱に就任したことでも注目を浴びている。また、2014年は北海道全179市町村にてライヴをするというギネス級の無謀企画『北海道179市町村ツアー』で、北海道中を駆けまわっり、その名を道内はもとより全国区へと広めるべく成長している。

そんな激動のメジャー1年目だったTHE TON-UP MOTORSが、2015年1月28日に最新アルバム『KEEP ON STANDING!!』をリリースすることを発表。179市町村ツアーにて鍛え上げられた“ライヴ筋”をメキメキに入れ込んだ、力強いソウルフルな作品が出来上がったとのことで、期待は高まる。

アルバムは、北海道を中心に展開しているコンビニエンスストア「セイコーマート」のCM曲「おかえり」、2013年音楽専門学校・経専学園のテレビCMソングとなった「俺の生活」など、全10曲。初回・通常の2タイプで、初回盤には前作アルバムの楽曲「準備OK」そしてシングル「北海道ブギ」のMV、更に、179市町村ツアーの映像を使用した「北海道ブギMusic Video～179市町村ver.～」が収録されたDVDが付属される。

そしてこのほど、アルバムの中から「不死身のこころ」のMV撮影が、北海道179市町村ツアーファイナルとなる12月28日のZepp Sapporoにて行われることが発表された。ライヴにはまだ間に合うので、Zepp Sapporoのライヴに参戦して全国的ブレイク前夜のMVに映ってみては？

■『北海道179市町村ツアー』
2014年4月より、故郷北海道、全179市町村でライブをするという無謀かつギネス級の危険極まりない巡業ツアーを慣行中！　その姿を一目見るために、道内各市町村民が集合し、各地で大きな盛り上がりを見せている。1市町村で平均20~30枚のアルバムが売れ、北海道全域で知られるバンドへと進化中の彼ら。ファイナルは2014年12月28日のゼップ札幌公演であり、既にチケットは売り切れ寸前だ。
