SPYAIR、『Boo X’mas 2014』でヒット曲を熱唱

SPYAIRが12月12日（金）東京・豊洲PITで開催された『Boo X’mas 2014』に出演！　今年5月ボーカルIKEの喉のトラブルにより全国ツアー中断となったあの騒動以降、沈黙を守り続けてきた彼らが公の場に姿を現した。

2010年のメジャーデビュー以降のシングルに加え、新曲2曲を収録したベストアルバム『BEST』が発売されたばかりのSPYAIR。BIGBANG、西野カナに次いで12月8日付オリコンウィークリーチャート3位を獲得した。同作品はアジア・南北米オセアニア・ヨーロッパ地域計71の国と地域でもCD及びデジタルリリースされており、日本だけでなく世界での活躍にも期待が高まる。

そんなSPYAIRが『Boo X’mas 2014』への出演というかたちで、アルバム発売後初めて公の場に姿を現した。ベスト盤リリース直後ということもあり、「現状ディストラクション」「イマジネーション」といったSPYAIRを代表する楽曲を中心に演奏。そして、ラスト曲「虹」では場内に大合唱が起こり、熱気に包まれたステージとなった。

ベスト盤といえば“歴史の集大成”“過去の総括”といった捉えられ方が一般的であるが、SPYAIRにとってのこの作品は、未来に向けて再出発を切るためのスタートラインと言っても過言ではない。この『BEST』を携えて、12月30日には“復活”と題されたワンマンライブが、そして来年4月からは全国ツアーが決定している。
