THE TURTLES JAPANが☆Taku Takahashi主宰のクラブイベントにサプライズ出演

4月8日（水）に1stアルバム『ELECTRONIC HUMANITY』をリリースする、今注目のスペシャルユニット THE TURTLES JAPANが、3月28日（土）に渋谷WOMBで開催されたパーティー「インターギャラクティック」にサプライズ登場した。

登場したのはメンバーのYAMAMURAとSAKAIで、アルバムの音源をリミックスした「It's Alright! （☆Taku Takahashi Remix）」に合わせてパフォーマンスを披露。超満員のフロアは熱狂の渦に包まれた。なおリミックス音源が披露されるのはこのイベントが初となる。

今回リミックス制作をしたのは、m-floのメンバーであり「block.fm」の主宰者でもある☆Taku Takahashi。この日のイベントのメインDJでもある彼のプレイ中に、メンバーが登場するや、大歓声が巻き起こり、奇抜で独創的な衣装を身にまとった彼らのパフォーマンスは鮮烈な印象を与えた。80KIDZやYOJI BIOMEHANIKAら、名だたるDJ陣がプレイした後、満を持しての登場とあって、フロアの熱気は最高潮となった。また今回のイベントでは、「Jerassic （KAN TAKAHIKO Remix）」「風花 （TJO & YUSUKE from BLU-SWING Remix）」の2曲も初披露され、フロアを盛り上げた。また今回披露されたリミックス音源はアルバムにも収録されない、非常に貴重な音源となっている。EDMサウンドを取り入れ、J-POPに新たな渦を巻き起こしているTHE TURTLES JAPANのサウンドが、実力派のDJたちによってフロアを盛り上げるために昇華され、アッパーな観客をさらに盛り上げた。

今回のサプライズ出演は、THE TURTLES JAPANと、ダンスミュージック専門インターネットラジオ局「block.fm」がコラボレーションしたことから起こったもの。4月8日にリリースされる彼らの1stアルバム『ELECTRONIC HUMANITY』収録楽曲を、block.fmで番組パーソナリティを務めるDJ陣がリミックスしている。また4月3日（金）21時より放送されるblock.fmの看板番組「TCY RADIO」にはTHE TURTLES JAPANメンバーの出演も決まっている。なおアルバムのRemix音源は、今後block.fmでのパワープレイをはじめ、各ラジオ局などでON AIRされていく。

新たな試みを次々と仕掛けるTHE TURTLES JAPANは、アルバムリリース後すぐの、4月15日から、東名阪で開催されるプレミアムなワンマンツアーも控えている。記念すべきファーストアルバムを聴いて、更にアルバムからの進化を見せ付けるであろうライブツアーも体感して欲しい。
