Blu-BiLLioN、主催イベントにてニューアルバムのリリースを発表

最新シングル「Resonance-共鳴- / モノクロの花」で初のTVドラマ主題歌を担当し、オリコン週間チャート11位を獲得して注目を集めるBlu-BiLLioNが、5月15日に主催イベント“Brand New World -vol.3-"を新宿BLAZEで開催した。

今回で3度目となる主催イベントは、5月に誕生日を迎えるSeika（Dr）とteru（Key）によるバースデーセッション等、初めての趣向も盛り込んで序盤から大盛り上がり。さらに大トリを務めたBlu-BiLLioNは頭からアッパーチューンを並べて飛ばし、以前に増してグッと前のめりなパフォーマンスで、オーディエンスの心をギュッと掴む。そしてクライマックス、「ここでBlu-BiLLioNから一つ発表があります。7月22日、2ndアルバム『GENESIS』をリリースします」とミケ（Vo）が告げると、フロアからは大歓声が。そこから勢いよく雪崩れ込んだ「GARDEN」ではヒートアップした人々の拳が振り上がり、“colours"と呼ばれる彼らのファンへの想いを綴ったラストの「Sincerely yours」では客席のペンライトが一面を青く染めた。

1月3日の渋谷公会堂ワンマン後、6人が奏でる生のサウンドと感情をさらけ出したライブで新たな境地を築きつつある今のBlu-BiLLioNにとって、前作『SicKs』から2年ぶりとなるアルバムは超重要アイテム。この2年間にリリースされたシングル6曲（「Aqua」「Tresor‐トレゾア‐」「GARDEN」「Sincerely yours」「Resonance‐共鳴‐」「モノクロの花」）を交えつつ、どんな進化の過程が描かれていくのか期待は高まるばかりだ。5月20日には渋谷公会堂ワンマンの模様を収めたライブDVD『「Sincerely 7 colours」2015.1.3 渋谷公会堂』もリリース。直後には6月6日の大阪を皮切りに東名阪ワンマンツアー「To BLUE WORLD-2015-」も開催されるので、最新型の彼らと半年前の彼らを見比べてみるのも面白いだろう。

『GENESIS』という単語には“起源"や“創世記"といった意味がある。そんなワードをアルバムタイトルに掲げ、Blu-BiLLioNが拓く新世界を、その目で確かめてほしい。
