高知県発sympathy、今年初ライヴを開催！

sympathyが、今年初めてのライヴとなる「トランス状態 ON THE STAGE ～ フライデーナイトはどうなっちゃうのー?! ～」を8月21日に大阪BIGCATで開催した。

7月にミニアルバム『トランス状態』をビクターの新レーベルCONNECTONEからリリースしたばかりのsympathyは、メンバー4人全員が高知市の小津高校を昨年春に卒業。柴田ゆう（Vo./Gt.）が東京、今井なつき（Ba.）が京都、田口かやな（Gt.）と門舛ともか（Dr.）が地元高知と別々の学校に進学しているため、現在バンドメンバーは“絶賛遠距離中”。昨年末に四国で2本のライヴを行なって以来、実に8ヶ月振りのステージとなった。

また、高知以外ではほとんどライヴの経験がないため、多くのファンにとっては初めて生のsympathyを観る機会になった。『トランス状態』のオープニングナンバー「女子高生やめたい」で幕を開けたステージは、いきなりイントロで演奏を中断。会場全体がはらはらしながら見守る中、その後はどんどんボルテージを上げながら疾走感溢れる全7曲をたたみかけ、関西はもちろん地元高知や名古屋などから駆けつけた多くのファンを魅了した。

ライヴ終了後に行なわれた音楽ライター三宅正一氏とメンバーとのトークコーナーでは、高校の部活卒業ライヴの秘蔵映像が映し出されて感極まって涙する柴田を筆頭に、制服姿の4人といった初々しい様子が会場を盛り上げた。また、数日前までは次作のレコーディングをしていたことを披露。“期待して下さい”と、猛スピードで成長を続けるメンバーの自信をうかがわせた。
