LAMP IN TERREN、新体制での初ワンマンライブが大盛況

LAMP IN TERRENが10月30日（金）よりスタートしている初のワンマンライブツアー「LAMP IN TERREN THE FIRST ONE MAN TOUR “BLUESYARD ～landing probe tour 2015～"」。全箇所ソールドアウトとなっている本ツアーの東京公演が、11月5日に渋谷CLUB QUATTROでにて開催された。

ワンマンとしてはバンド史上最大規模の会場・SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTROで行なわれた、LAMP IN TERRENの『THE FIRST ONE MAN TOUR “BLUESYARD～landing probe tour 2015～』東京公演は超満員。開演前から今にも破裂しそうな高まりをみせていた。

ゆるやかなアンビエントのSEの中登場した「4人」。そう、このツアーから大屋真太郎（G）が正式に加入し、LAMP IN TERRENは4人体制となった。松本大（Vo/G）が静寂の中に「スーッ」と息を吸い込む音を響かせて歌い出したオープニング・ナンバー。曲中に「ただいま」と一言告げたのち絶叫する松本に呼応するように、オーディエンスも溜め込んだ熱を解放する。大きなアクションでベースを奏でながら煽る中原健仁（B）、時折笑みを見せながらうなずく大屋、迫力の重低音を叩き出す川口大喜（Dr）。4人となった彼らは、3 人編成時の一丸となってぶつかってくるようなアグレッシヴさはそのままに、より幅と奥行きを感じさせるサウンドを展開していく。当然ながら、ギターが2本になったことで従来とは違うアレンジが施されていたり、楽曲によっては音源の再現性も高まっている。

彼らにとって一つの目標であったQUATTROでのワンマンは、終始とんでもない熱量を秘めつつ、静寂と激情と歓喜とが目まぐるしくその色を変えていった。松本のがなり立てるようなハイトーンもいつも以上に荒々しくエモーショナルで、大屋の加入によってギターを弾かなくても良くなった箇所では、巧みなジェスチャーで導き、盛り上げるようになっている。「林檎の理」や「ボイド」など、静けさと激しさのコントラストが存分に発揮される楽曲では、観客たちも手を大きくかざしともに歌う。弾んだリズムが楽しい「王様のひとり芝居」では盛大なハンドクラップが巻き起こり、「multiverse」でのコール＆レスポンスは強烈な一体感で会場を満たしていく。一転、MCでは同級生同士ならではの気のおけないトークで楽しませてくれる。また、この日は新曲も披露され、「時の旅人」と題された、繊細で美しいメロディと語りかけるようなボーカル、スケールの大きなアンサンブルに乗せて、＜歩いていく＞と真っ直ぐに歌われる同曲は、今の彼らを象徴するかのように力強く響いた。

松本は「僕は『ついてこい』とは言えない、一緒に歩くことしかできないんですよ」「だから、みんなが僕の手を掴んでいてくれるうちは、絶対に離さないって誓いました」と決意を表した。盛大な拍手に包まれ、まばゆい光の中で放たれた「メイ」を高らかに歌い上げる姿は、彼らがオーディエンスとともにどこまでも進んでいくことを予感させるに十分すぎる。

「微かな光」は、いま確かに輝きを増しながら、ファイナルの長崎へ、そしてその先へと、道を照らしている。
