J、アコースティックプロジェクト“D.F.F.”公演にて一足早いXmasを演出

Jが自身のアコースティックプロジェクト“Dessert Flame Frequency”（以下、D.F.F.）の公演を12月19日（土）と20日（日）の2日間に渡り、Shibuya duo MUSIC EXCHANGEにて開催した。

2015年6月以来のD.F.F.公演となったが、前回同様ギターには盟友・藤田高志（DOOM）と、Jバンドでもおなじみのmasasucks （the HIATUS / FULLSCRATCH）が参加。そしてドラムには今回初の共演となった城戸紘志（unkie / ex.JUDE）が加わり、Jが生み出してきた数々の楽曲たちが、より深く新鮮なアレンジで奏でられていった。加えてステージ上には、大小とりどりのミラーボールが多数飾られ、アコースティックサウンドが醸し出すスペシャルな空間をきらびやかに演出していた。

ライブ中盤には、こちらも初共演となるギタリスト・生形真一（Nothing's Carved In Stone）がスペシャルゲストとして登場し、ニルヴァーナの「ALL Apologies」や、シンディ・ローパーの名曲「Time After Time」のカヴァーも交えて4曲をセッション。曲中、圧巻のギターソロに会場中が酔いしれるシーンも印象的であった。

アンコールでは再び出演者全員がステージに登場し、和やかな雰囲気の中、Jがあらためてメンバーを紹介すると、「少し早いけれど、俺たちからみんなにプレゼントします。」と、Jのアカペラ始まりで「White Christmas」を披露。ミラーボールが眩い光を放つ中、フロアーも一気にクリスマスムードに。最後は定番曲「Feel Your Blaze」でスペシャルな二夜は幕を閉じた。ファンからはD.F.F.としての音源を発表して欲しいという声も多く、今後の活動にも注目したいところだ。

そんなJは息つく間もなく、LUNA SEAとして23日・24日にZepp DiverCity TOKYOで開催されるファンクラブ限定GIGのステージに立つ。早くも伝説となりつつある史上最狂のロックフェス「LUNATIC FEST.」以来のライブということもあり、果たして何が起こるのか、こちらも要注目だ。

さらに年末からはソロ10作目のアルバム『eternal flames』を掲げた全国ツアー第二弾もスタート！　Jは止まることなく、来たる2016年へと駆け抜けていく。
