BRAHMAN、新作DVD＆BD『尽未来際』を3月23日にリリース

BRAHMANの活動記録を生々しく切り取った映像作品『尽未来際』が、活動21年目初の新曲と共に作品化される事が決定した。

2015年はBRAHMANという孤高のハードコアパンクバンドにとって、非常に重要な年となった。結成20周年…それだけではない。それに伴う数々の活動がバンドにとってはもちろんのこと、シーン全体にも大きな影響を与えることとなった。まずは新曲「其限」のリリース。これまでに比べて平易な言葉で綴ったTOSHI-LOWの歌詞と、20年の歩みを振り返るようなエモーショナルなサウンドが多くのファンに新鮮な驚きを与えた。「其限」の制作過程を追い、彼らの本質に迫った映画『ブラフマン』も大きな話題となった。箭内道彦監督が“最初で最後"と誓ってメガホンを取ったこの作品は、関係者の予想を大きく上回るヒットを記録し、7月の2週間限定上映の予定が初冬まで延長されるほどの好反響を呼び、のべ2万人が劇場を訪れた。夏にはこれまでのキャリアを振り返った2枚組ベスト盤「尽未来際」もリリースし、好調なセールスを記録。こうしてBRAHMANの4人は、この20年間で最も濃密な夏を送った。

さらに、シーンに何よりも大きなインパクトを与えたのは、彼らの活動の基本でもあるライブである。初ライブを飾った下北沢SHELTERなど、BRAHMANの原点とも言うべきライブハウスを回った「尽未来際～開闢～」、盟友たちと全国各地で共演を果たした「尽未来際～畏友～」、そして「尽未来際～尽未来祭～」である。幕張メッセにて2日間にわたって開催されたこの「祭り」は、BRAHMAN結成当初から共にライブを重ねてきた強者、Hi-STANDARDやSLANGといったバンドが1日目に集結。それだけでも大きな注目を集めたが、元々予定にはなかったSUPER STUPIDの出演が会場を大きな興奮と感動で包んだ。2日目はthe HIATUSや10-FEETといった00年代以降にBRAHMANが苦楽を共にしてきた盟友が出演。両日共にステージに上がったBRAHMANは、圧倒的かつ感動的なパフォーマンスで20年間の活動を総括した。

この日で「尽未来際」は全て終わったかのように見えた。しかし、まだ彼らの祭りはまだ終らない。映像作品『尽未来際』の登場である。「尽未来祭」2日間にわたるBRAHMANのライブ、約1年にわたって繰り広げられた「尽未来際」プロジェクトを追ったドキュメントという2つの映像を軸に、ベスト盤『尽未来際』のハイレゾ音源、「尽未来祭」でのBRAHMANの姿を収めたメモリアルデジタルフォトが収められ、さらにiTunesやレコチョク等で同時に配信される新曲（タイトル未定）のミュージックビデオ（とデジタルバンドスコア）までもがパッケージされるのだ。熱く駆け抜けた2015年を今作にグッと凝縮することで「尽未来際」プロジェクトを締めくくり、それと同時に21年目のBRAHMANのスタートを高らかに宣言するのである。
