ゲスの極み乙女。、初の日本武道館公演2DAYSが大盛況

ゲスの極み乙女。のワンマンライブ「ゲス乙女大集会～武道館編～」が3月30日と31日の2日間に渡って、日本武道館で開催された。彼らにとって初の日本武道館公演ながら、いきなりの2DAYS。最新作『両成敗』からの楽曲を中心に、さまざまな趣向を凝らしたステージで、集まった大勢のオーディエンスを魅了した。ここでは2日目の31日の模様をレポートする。

オープニングのSEと共にメンバーが姿を現すと、川谷絵音とちゃんMARIの2台の鍵盤によるイントロが印象的な「ロマンスがありあまる」からライブをスタートさせ、続けて「私以外私じゃないの」と、アタマからヒットシングルを立て続けに演奏して会場を沸かせる。

「サイデンティティ」では川谷がギターを置いてハンドマイクになり、「武道館！」と呼びかけると、ステージの端まで行ってオーディエンスを煽っていく。ダンサブルな「星降る夜に花束を」、転調を繰り返すAメロと推進力のあるサビの対比が印象的な「勤めるリアル」と、序盤はアッパーな曲が続いた。

「キラーボール」の間奏としてファンにはお馴染みのちゃんMARIによる「幻想即興曲」を挟んで、「シリアルシンガー」、「煙る」、「セルマ」と『両成敗』からの曲が続き、「無垢」では川谷による情感たっぷりのポエトリーリーディングから、アルバムの流れと同様に、そのままアップテンポの「無垢な季節」へと流れ込む。

次の「心歌舞く」を演奏し終えたところで、ようやく川谷から「ゲスの極み乙女。です。よろしくお願いします」という挨拶があると、ゲストにNabowaのギタリスト・景山奏が迎えられ、「id1」を披露。この曲では休日課長がベースではなくアコギを弾き、繊細かつ幻想的な空間を作り上げた。

ここでメンバーが一度ステージを降り、打ち込みのトラックが流れ出す。最初は川谷とほな・いこかによるモノローグが乗り、続いてコーラスのえつことササキミオがステージ前方で向き合い、見事な掛け合いを披露。さらに「ダンスダンスダンス」と繰り返す川谷の歌が流れる中、赤を基調とした衣装に着替えたメンバーが再び姿を現すと、ササキのヴァイオリンをフィーチャーした「いけないダンス」を演奏。まるで組曲であるかのような自由な構成と発想は、まさにゲス乙女ならではと言えよう。

「ここからはライブハウスの感じでやります」という言葉から、「パラレルスペック（funky ver.）」、「オトナチック」と再びアッパーな曲が続き、「Mr.ゲスX」では曲の途中で川谷がギターを持ち替えると、ミドルテンポの曲が一転してHR/HM調に変化。スモークと赤い照明に照らされ、ステージ前方でゴリゴリのギターを弾く川谷はロックスターのようだ。その勢いのまま「そろそろ武道館とゲスの極み乙女。で一緒にアソビませんか？」と呼びかけての「アソビ」から、ラストは「両成敗でいいじゃない」で本編が締め括られた。

ここまでMCらしいMCはなかったが、アンコールではほな・いこかが「一曲目の「ロマンスがありあまる」から泣きそうだった」、休日課長が「コーラス隊も含めた6人でここに立てたことがすごく嬉しいです」とそれぞれ語り、ちゃんMARIはアリーナ、一階席、二階席と分けて「コポゥ！」でコール＆レスポンス。最後に全員での「コポゥ！」が決まると、「ナイス！　武道館でできて嬉しいです」と笑顔を見せる。川谷は音楽がやりたくて上京し、思っていたキャンパスライフとは全然違ったものの、軽音部で休日課長と出会い、そこから今のゲスの極み乙女。につながっているという思い出話を語った。

アンコールの一曲目に披露された「続けざまの両成敗」では、打ち込みになる中盤のパートでステージ上手に4本のギターが現れ、メンバー全員でギターをプレイするというサプライズな演出も。その後は「crying march」、さらに「jajaumasan」と畳みかけ、休日課長による「ドレスを」「脱げ！」というお決まりのコール＆レスポンスから始まった「ドレスを脱げ」では、間奏でほな・いこかが椅子の上に立ち、「まだいけるかー？」と煽ると、大サビと共に金色の紙テープが大量に発射されて、フロアを覆い尽くした。

鳴り止まない拍手に応えてのダブルアンコールでは、川谷がこの後もライブハウスツアーが続くことを話し、「俺は死ぬまで歌うからな！」と宣言すると、会場中から大きな歓声が巻き起こる。最後は「餅ガール」、「キラーボール」という初期からの人気曲でこの日一番の盛り上がりを見せ、その後メンバー全員がステージ前方に整列し、深々としたお辞儀でオーディエンスに対する感謝を表した。メンバーが去った後も一人ステージに残り、繰り返し感謝を伝えた川谷の姿は、非常に印象的だった。
