布袋寅泰の35周年記念ベストアルバム、超豪華な51曲がついに発表！

6月22日にリリースされる布袋寅泰の活動35周年記念ベストアルバム『51 Emotions -the best for the future-』の収録曲51曲が発表となった。

Disc 1には、大ヒットシングル「POISON」「スリル」「バンビーナ」に加え、最新ヒットシングル「8 BEATのシルエット」、ライヴアンセム「RUSSIAN ROULETTE」「DIVING WITH MY CAR」などロックナンバーを17曲収録。

Disc 2では、1988年に発表された衝撃のソロデビューアルバム『GUITARHYTHM』収録曲のほか、名曲「さらば青春の光」「LONELY WILD」などメロディアスなナンバー15曲が楽しめる。

Disc 3には、布袋が提供した世界的にも有名な「Battle Without Honor or Humanity」（『キル・ビル』のメインテーマ）や「ミッション：インポッシブルのテーマ」といったシネマミュージック、「STARMAN」（デヴィッド・ボウイ）、「C'MON EVERYBODY」（エディ・コクラン）、「テレグラム・サム」（T.REX）など、布袋が敬愛して自身の音楽的ルーツにもなったアーティストの名曲をカバーした数々のトラックを収録。

さらに、世界的アーティストと共演を果たした「How the Cookie Crumbles（Feat.イギー・ポップ）」、「BACK STREETS OF TOKYO」（ブライアン・セッツァーとのコラボレーション）、2015年にワールドリリースされたアルバム『Strangers』から最新のHOTEIサウンドも収録される。

加えて、全国ライヴハウスツアー「【BEAT 1】～すべてはライブハウスから～」初日3月5日の高崎club FLEEZでプレイされた「NO.NEW YORK」や、4月7日に国立代々木競技場 第一体育館で行なわれた「【BEAT 2】～GUITARHYTHM伝説'88～ソロデビュー再現GIGS」で最後の曲として演奏された「Dreamin'」の最新ライヴバージョンを含む、BOØWY、吉川晃司とのユニットであるCOMPLEXのポピュラーナンバーをセルフカバーした、貴重なライヴ音源を収録。

グレイテストヒッツの数々を布袋自身がこだわり抜いた曲順で選んだ、高濃度、純度100%のキラーチューンがこれでもかと詰まった、まさに究極のベストオブベストアルバムだ。
