Raphael × rice ついに共演

2016年11月1日Zepp Tokyo公演をもって活動に終止符を打つRaphaelが解散直前にイベント出演を発表した。
同イベントは、Raphael・riceの出演に加え、Rayflower・Karmaの出演が決定している。
RaphaelのYUKI（Vo.）とHIRO（Dr）から成るriceは、2001年のRaphael活動休止後より現在まで積極的に活動しているロックバンド。

Raphaelの作品に対するアンサーソングが多い事で知られるrice。

史上初となるriceとRaphaelの対バンが実現するこのイベントは、Raphaelの解散直前というタイミングもあり、ファンにとって重要な意味のある一夜となる。

Raphaelは、1999年7月に「花咲く命ある限り」でフォーライフレコード（現・フォーライフミュージックエンタテイメント）よりメジャーデビュー。
2000年3月、日本武道館にてRaphael Special Live「graduation」を行う。
（本来、メンバーはこの年には高校を卒業する年齢。メンバー自身の手により日本武道館で卒業式ライブが行われた）武道館公演後にホールツアー、ライブハウスツアーを行っていたRaphaelだが、メジャー6thシングル『秋風の狂詩曲（ラプソディー）』の発売を翌日に控えた2000年10月31日にギターの華月が急逝。その後、2000年12月から翌年1月にかけて「Raphael Tour 2000-2001 新世紀を駆けぬけろ!」を行い、ファイナル公演の渋谷公会堂2daysを最後に活動休止。
2012年10月31日「天使の檜舞台 第一夜 白中夢」11月1日「天使の檜舞台 第二夜 黒中夢」と題してZepp Tokyoにて12年振りのライブを敢行。
2015年11月1日櫻井有紀単独公演【独唱-悠久の檜舞台-】にて2016年にRaphael復活宣言。2016年4月7日【Raphael KAZUKI 17th memorial 「蒼の邂逅」】にてYUKITOより「Raphael解散」と発表され、2016年11月1日のZepp Tokyo公演にて解散を迎える。
