SHE'S、脇坂侑希監督とタッグを組んだMV2本を同時公開

SHE'Sが10月19日に発売する2ndシングル「Tonight / Stars」のタイトル曲それぞれのMVが公開された。

「Tonight」はフル尺、「Stars」はshort ver.で公開。2本とも「Un-science」などの過去作でもタッグを組んだ脇坂侑希が監督を務めている。脇坂監督は井上竜馬（Key＆Vo）と大学の同級生という繋がりもあり、今注目すべき新鋭クリエイターのひとりだ。

「Tonight」のMVは、“なかなか見つけ出せない笑顔の中のあの子”をテーマに、救いたいのに見つからない物がたくさんある中、隠し通すあの子と、見つけ出したい僕との“二人が思い描く今”を映像にした作品となっている。

MVには、シングル「Tonight / Stars」のジャケットモデルも務めた青文字系モデルの青柳文子が出演。青柳は『綺麗な映像と素敵な曲に溶け込ませていただいて光栄でした！ 自分で出ておきながら見てると泣きそうになります。。ありがとうございました！』と喜びのコメントを寄せた。SHE'Sの井上竜馬は『曲の世界観、音景をしっかりと表現出来たMVになりました。「蝋燭が欲しいな」とぼんやり考えていたら、当日脇坂監督が持ってきていたりと、話し合わなくてもイメージが共有できた曲でした。今作の青柳さんの表情は僕の描く「SHE」そのもののオーラなので刮目してみて下さい』と語っている。

そして「Stars」は、MBS／TBS『拝啓、民泊様。』のOPテーマとなっている楽曲で、SHE'Sの音楽はいつも光の中にいるような感覚になることを踏まえ、“光の中にいるSHE'S”というバンドの存在を象徴した映像に仕上がった。

井上はこの「Stars」について、セルフライナーノーツにて『北海道から八戶に行く夜、フェリーの甲板でメンバーと流星群を見たのがキッカケで書いた曲です。「バンドメンバー」から「ただの友達」になったとき、こうやって帰ってくる関係性があるから、今突っ走って頑張れるんだと気付いたこと。街灯も何もない闇夜の海上に浮かぶ満点の星々が懸命に生きて燃え尽きた証として輝くなら、僕たちの歌も、僕たちそのものも同じなんだろうと思ったこと。今も、燃え尽きた後でさえも、誰かをそっと照らす柔らかな光を放てる人になっていきたいです』と語っている。

10月5日からはiTunesのプレオーダーもスタート。10月17日には「Tonight / Stars」がバンドルで先行配信となる。また、いち早く聴きたい人のために、iTunes内のApple Connectで「Tonight」「Stars」「Isolation」全3曲のサビのみの先行試聴も開始されているので、この機会にぜひチェックしてみよう。
