魔法少女になり隊、1月18日にニューシングル「革命のマスク」発売

9月にメジャーデビューという新たなステージへ一歩踏み出した魔法少女になり隊が、2017年1月18日にニューシングル「革命のマスク」をリリースすることを発表した。


ボーカル・火寺バジルが魔女にかけられた呪いをとくために“歌"という魔法を使って冒険しているラウドでポップでファンタジーなRPG系バンド“魔法少女になり隊"は、メジャーという新たなステージへ出発する際に手にした地図を指針に、始まりの地“メロディア王国"を後にした。

本作「革命のマスク」ではデビューシングル「KI-RA-RI」に封入されていた地図のかけらをもとにプレイヤー（リスナー）が選んだ次なる冒険の地“アメリケ"に到達。 地図のかけらは本作にも封入され、次なる冒険の地をプレイヤー（リスナー）が選ぶことができるようになっている。

表題曲となる「革命のマスク」は、ノンジャンルを掲げる彼女達の音楽性の中でもポップパンク〜メロコア的ギターサウンドが印象深い作品。「わたしは革命起こすの 言葉を失くしても」という一節に現れるように、自らの物語をベースに描かれる歌詞世界は、現実と理想のはざまに揺れ動く中、仲間と共に一歩前に進んでいく希望が描かれるなど彼女達らしい一作となっている。

カップリングには、メタルサウンドをベースに構築され、仲間と共に目標に向かう強い想いを歌った「テッペン伝説」と、テレビアニメ“ONE PIECE"の2代目オープニングテーマとしても馴染み深いfolder5「Believe」のカバーを収録。

また、初回盤の特典DVDには魔法少女になり隊のLIVEには欠かすことのできない、メンバーでVJのgariが自らディレクション・制作した映像が『SPECIAL VJ MOVIE』として収められる。収録曲はインディー時代に限定盤としてリリースされた3曲なので、この機会にぜひ手に入れて欲しい。

冒険の更なる一歩を踏み出した彼女たちの今後に期待が高まる。
