7周年を迎えたumbrella、新曲リリース、ニュービジュアルも発表

本日Zirco Tokyoで行われたワンマンライヴで7周年を迎えた大阪在住の4人組バンドumbrellaが、5月17日（水）にニューシングル「Frontier」をリリースする事を発表。
合わせて新アーティスト写真も公開、シングルリリースに伴う主催ツアー、初のファンミーティングも発表されました。

大盛況となった本日のライヴのアンコールでも披露された新曲「Frontier」は、既にタイトル未定という形でライヴでプレイされていた為ファンの間からはリリースが待ち望まれていた楽曲となる。

また今回のアーティスト写真は、これまでの芸術性の高いヴィジュアルイメージから一転し、新曲「Frontier」に綴られた人間の皮肉的感情にシンクロした哀愁を帯びた写真となっている。
ロケ地として選んだ広大な砂浜は、唯（Vo/Gt）が未だ辿り着いたことのない未知の音楽をファンに届けたいという想いが込められているという。

更にリリースに伴い6月には仙台、新潟、東京、名古屋、大阪での「Frontier」リリース記念主催ツアー、「傘の日」となる6月11日にはバンド初となる地元大阪でのファンミーティングの開催も発表。

「心に傘を」をコンセプトに活動し、自身のファンを「傘人」と呼ぶumbrella。
まさに彼らの季節ともいえる梅雨に向け、その動きからひと時も目が離せない。

今まで作曲した中でこんなに苦しんだ曲はなかった。
【流行】を模写するような風習なんかにこの曲達は埋もれない。
ありきたりな音楽に切なさを覚えるんです。
今までで一番イメージ通りのアー写そして音源。
貫き通してきたumbrellaが【新天地】へ案内するよ。

Zirco Tokyoでのワンマン「踏出」を終えて、踏み出したその先が「Frontier」なのかと聞かれればまだまだ未知な部分はたくさんあります。
きっと歴代の冒険家たちも1人ではFrontierには辿り着けなかったでしょう。
音楽を通じてumbrellaが先導に立ってみんなでもっと沢山の一歩を一緒に踏み出しましょう。
