THE YELLOW MONKEY、釜山国際映画祭のレッドカーペットに登場

15年振りに再集結した日本が誇るロックバンド、THE YELLOW MONKEY。彼らの2016年のツアーに密着した映画『オトトキ』が第22回釜山国際映画祭ワイド・アングル部門へ正式出品され、開幕式にて日本人ロックバンドとして初めて釜山国際映画祭のレッドカーペットに登場した。

この復活劇の1年間を追いかけたのは、現代アーティスト・ピュ〜ぴるのドキュメンタリー作品『ピュ〜ぴる』や、2015年公開の自身初の長編劇映画『トイレのピエタ』で数々の映画賞に輝くなど、今注目の新進気鋭の監督、松永大司である。本作品の釜山国際映画祭でのワールドプレミア上映に続き、第30回東京国際映画祭においても特別招待作品としてジャパンプレミア上映が予定されている。

また、11月11日の全国公開に先駆けて行われる10月13日（金）のワールドプレミア上映にて、同映画の主題歌として書き下した新曲「Horizon」が解禁となる。作詞・作曲はギターの菊地英昭が担当、映画の世界観と深く共鳴しあい、作品を彩っている。

今回の釜山国際映画祭ではスペースシャワーTVがオフィシャルカメラとしてTHE YELLOW MONKEYに密着、その模様が11月5日（日）20：30〜21：00「THE YELLOW MONKEY ドキュメンタリー映画『オトトキ』公開記念SPECIAL」としてオンエア予定。 ※リピート放送あり：11月10日、11月18日
