日本武道館ワンマン2デイズで驚異の20,000人を動員！

　BABYMETALが日本武道館にてワンマン2デイズを行ない、女性アーティスト史上最年少記録となる20,000人を動員した。

　BABYMETALが3月1日にワンマンライヴ「赤い夜 LEGEND “巨大コルセット祭り" ~天下一メタル武道会～ 」、そして続く2日に「黒い夜 LEGEND “DOOMSDAY" ～召喚の儀～」を日本武道館で行ない、女性アーティストによる日本武道館公演開催としては史上最年少を記録、2日間の公演で20,000 人が"伝説"を目撃した。

　日本武道館公演2日目の2日（日）1stアルバム『BABYMETAL』がオリコンアルバムデイリーチャート1位を記録したBABYMETAL。2010年の結成以来“メタルとアイドルの融合”をテーマに、音楽ファンも納得の楽曲と圧倒的な歌唱力とダンスパフォーマンスが話題となり、ワンマンライヴは軒並み即日ソールドアウト状態、「SUMMER SONIC」や「LOUD PARK」など大型ロックフェスにも多数出演を果たした。さらに、YouTube では動画の投稿がされるたびに海外ユーザーからの注目も集め、コメントの投稿はもちろんのこと最近では海外のメタル系音楽サイトがニュースとして取り上げるほどにまでなっている。同アルバムもiTunes Store のアメリカ、イギリス、ドイツでのメタルチャートでは1 位、2 位にランクイン、台湾やインドネシアなどのロックチャートでも1 位にランクインし、海外での人気が確かなものであることが証明された形になった。

　巨大な魔法陣を思わせる8 角形のステージが武道館のセンターに大きく設けられた会場には、そのステージを囲むようにスタンディングのアリーナエリアが作られ、前も横も後ろも四方八方に観客が入ったコロシアム、まさに武道館全体が巨大魔方陣となり儀式が執り行なわれようとする雰囲気だ。1日（土）に行なわれた「赤い夜 LEGEND "巨大コルセット祭り"～天下一メタル武道会ファイナル～」では、タイトルの通り観客が全員首にコルセットを身につけて参加するライヴとなった。"メタルの神バンド"と呼ばれる生バンドを従え、MC やアンコールなどは一切なく、ノンストップで全13曲を駆け抜けた。

　2日（日）は「黒い夜 LEGEND “DOOMSDAY" ～召喚の儀～」。スクリーンにLEGEND “DOOMSDAY"の始まりを告げるストーリームービーが映し出され、1曲目「BABYMETAL DEATH」の重厚なリズムに合わせてメンバーが登場すると、一気に観客のボルテージは最高潮に高まった。YUIMETALとMOAMETALのコンビによるBLACK BABYMETALの新曲「4の歌」では、キュートな2人が「4! 4!」と煽れば会場全体が「4! 4!」と応え武道館がひとつになり、「紅月 -アカツキ-」では燃え上がる炎の中でSU-METALと爆音の神バンドが圧倒的なパフォーマンスを披露すると、観客は歓喜の声を上げた。「イジメ、ダメ、ゼッタイ」ではアリーナにいくつものウォールオブデスが発生し、YUIMETALとMOAMETALはセンターステージの巨大魔法陣を四角く囲んだ通路を全力疾走して会場を沸かせ、SU-METALは渾身のパフォーマンスでヴォーカリストとしての圧倒的な存在感を魅せつけたのであった。スクリーンには「～召喚の儀～」へ向けてのストーリームービーが流れ、これから待ち受けるBABYMETAL の運命に観客は期待を寄せた。

　「リン! リン! リン!」のイントロが聞こえてくると、プロモーションビデオで描かれた魔法陣の中からBABYMETAL が登場するシーンが武道館の巨大魔法陣を使って再現され、デビュー曲「ド・キ・ド・キ☆モーニング」を原点回帰とも言える形で披露。ラスト「ヘドバンギャー！！」ではメンバーも観客も最後の力を振り絞っての「ヘドバン!!」コールでボルテージは最高潮に達し、SU-METALが「運命の銅鑼」を叩いて倒れ込むと、厳かな雰囲気の中、～召喚の儀～が始まる。今までBABYMETALが作り上げてきた数々のLEGEND をストーリームービーで振り返り、武道館で日本でのメタルレジスタンス第一章を終えることが告げられた。BABYMETALは次なるステージに進み、異国の地へと武者修行の旅に出るというキツネ様のお告げによって召喚されることになり、まるで天から棺桶が降臨してきたかの如く、真っ赤な棺桶が上から登場し、絢爛な衣装に身を包んだメンバーが棺桶の中へと導かれ、棺桶が昇天していくという壮大なエンディングで召喚の儀は幕を閉じた。次回予告「LEGEND"Y" YUIMETAL 聖誕祭、LEGEND"M" MOAMETAL 聖誕祭 inEUROPE」の文字がスクリーンに大きく打ち出されると、会場から一気に大歓声が上がった。日本を離れて遂に本格的に海外進出するBABYMETAL、いよいよメタルレジスタンスが海を越える時が来た。
