桑田佳祐、『MVP』リリース記念企画「MVPは何の略？」をスタート

桑田佳祐のソロ30周年記念ベストMV集『MVP』の発売を記念して、サザンオールスターズofficialツイッターアカウントにて、『MVP』が何の略称かを予想するツイッター企画「MVPは何の略？」がスタートした。

桑田のソロ30周年記念日である10月6日に本作の発売を発表した際には、ビクターのスタッフが桑田に贈る表彰状の画像が公開されたが、その中の一部には「・・・最近すっかり MVP“もっと●イアグラプリーズ”でございます。（苦笑）」と冗談が書かれていた。また先日、発売日の変更が発表された際には「Mもっと Vボリューム Pパワーアップします！（燃）」とMVPにかけて意気込みを表現していたことも。そんな中、ファンの間で「MVPには何か隠れた意味があるのだろうか？」という疑問の声があがっていることを受けて、この企画が決定した。11月20日から30日までの期間中、ハッシュタグ「#桑田佳祐」「#MVPは何の略」をつけてツイートすれば誰でも参加が可能で、投稿の中から抽選で300名に30周年の記念品が当たる。また、投稿が本当に作品に採用される可能性もあるとのこと。

全30曲収録という大ボリュームな本作はまさに“ベストMV集”と言うにふさわしいが、初回限定盤の「Mもっと Vボリュームを　Pパワーアップ」する部分などに関しては詳細が明かされていないだけに期待が高まる。続報に期待だ！
