西川貴教主催『イナズマロック フェス』、2018年は3日間での開催が決定

滋賀ふるさと観光大使を務める西川貴教が、三日月大造・滋賀県知事のもとへ表敬訪問を行ない、9月22日から24日の3日間にわたって『イナズマロック フェス 2018』を開催することを宣言した。この日、滋賀県公館と草津市役所を訪れた西川は、2017年9月に開催した『イナズマロック フェス 2017』の収益の一部である125万円を滋賀県に、25万円を草津市に寄附、またこれに併せて『イナズマロック フェス2017』出演者により実施した、琵琶湖環境保全のためのチャリティーオークションの売上金427,083円も滋賀県に寄附した。

『イナズマロック フェス』は、西川が発起人となって琵琶湖の水質保全と地域振興をテーマに掲げ、2009年より草津市烏丸半島で開催している滋賀県下最大の大型野外ライヴイベント。2017年は台風接近の影響により9月17日に予定していた2日目の公演は中止となったが、9月15日に行なわれた『イナズマロック フェス 2016 リターンズ』と合わせた2日間で、全国から8万人を動員した。

三日月知事は、「これまで10年続けていただき、さらに今年の10回目にこれまでの重なる思いを持ってやっていただけることに興奮を覚えます。水の未来、琵琶湖の未来にみんなが思いを寄せて、そこで感謝したり、その中で自分のできることをしていこうという、そんなきっかけになるイベントになればと思います。私も参加することのみならず、西川さんのそういった思いをしっかりと受け止めて、より多くの方に伝えていく役割を果たしていきたい。今年こそ3日間晴れることを祈っています」と述べた。これを受けて西川は、「10年続けてこられたのは県民のみなさんのご協力があってのことです。まずは県のみなさんに喜んでいただけるイベントに、また県外の方にもこのイベントを通じて滋賀県のことを知っていただけるようなものでありたいと思います。『イナズマフードグランプリ』など派生イベントも定着してきましたので、一部地域のみならず、県全体が活性化するようなイベントに育てていきたいと思っています」と意欲をみせた。

また、同日に草津市役所で行なわれた草津市長への表敬訪問では、橋川渉市長が「イナズマは県外の方にも琵琶湖の自然環境を間近で見て知っていただける、地域にとって良いアピールができる機会です。お盆の時期に行なわれるフードグランプリも含めて、年々市内でもイナズマに協力的な方が増えています」と述べると、西川は「毎年の恒例行事と捉えていただけるのは嬉しいこと。昨年中止になった分の思いも含めて、10回目はさらに記念碑的なイベントにできればと思っています」と答えた。ますます期待が高まる『イナズマロック フェス 2018』の出演アーティスト、チケット情報については後日発表とのことなので、お楽しみに！
