BUCK-TICK、ニューシングル「形而上 流星」の意味深な新アー写の真相とは？

　BUCK-TICKが5月14日にシングル「形而上 流星」を発売することが決定した。

　シングルリリース発表に合わせて新しいアーティスト写真が公開されたが、メンバーが身につけている衣装の赤い部分だけがカラーになっている斬新な写真に仕上がっている。さらに、宙を舞う赤い物体に注目。これは、何かを意味しているものなのか？　何かの暗号なのか？　何かの象徴なのか……。シングルのタイトルには“形而上"という言葉が使われており、「形而上 流星」ということは、「形態としての存在を超えた、流星」、つまりは「意味や意義としての流星」ということになるのか、形のない精神性のものなのか？　更に、流星＝流れ星は、すぐに消えてなくなってしまうものだが、願いを叶えてくれるかもしれないものという解釈もできる。「形ではなく意味としての夢を叶える流星」。瞬く間に消えるそれの正体は一体何なのか。シングルのタイトルとアーティスト写真だけで様々な解釈ができるが、まずは音源が公開されるまで待ちたい。

　そしてカップリングには1988年に発売した2ndアルバム『SEVENTH HEAVEN』に収録の「VICTIMS OF LOVE」をセルフカバーとして収録。この曲は巷で話題のアーティスト、黒色すみれも参加とのこと。こちらもどのように進化、深化したのか楽しみな1曲になっているはずだ。

　昨年末はLIVE「THE DAY IN QUESTION」が岩手、宮城、福島の3 県と恒例の日本武道館で行なわれ、各地で好評だったが、初回盤の特典には12月23日に行なわれた福島県郡山公演より選りすぐりの映像が収録される。

　また、今回のリリース情報発表に伴いBUCK-TICK 2014特設Facebookが立ち上がり、ニューシングル「形而上 流星」のティザー映像が公開された。シェア数が200を超えたら「形而上 流星」の試聴を開始するという企画もあるので是非とも広めてほしい。
