SURFACE、デビュー20周年イヤーに各メンバーがソロアルバムをリリース

2017年12月31日に椎名慶治のカウトダウンライブで発表されたSURFACEの再始動。デビュー記念日である5月27日に開催される再始動ライブ『Re:Attraction』のチケットは即日完売し、その注目の高さを証明する中、メンバー2人がソロアルバムをリリースする情報が届いた。

ボーカルの椎名慶治は今後も止まることなく進んでいくという想いをこめ、2年5ヶ月ぶりにソロとして4枚目となるオリジナルフルアルバム『-ing』（よみ：いんぐ）を6月16日（土）にリリースする。 参加ミュージシャンは、お馴染みの山口寛雄、磯貝サイモンに加え、"イトヲカシ"のメンバーとしても活動している宮田'レフティ'リョウが中心となり、新たな椎名慶治の世界を作り上げる。

そして、ギターの永谷喬夫はソロしては初となる作品を5月27日（日）のSURFACE記念ライブの会場より販売するとのことで、「SURFACEをお休みしていた期間で蓄えたエネルギーを一気にぶつけたい！」とコメントも寄せている。また、1stソロアルバム発売を記念して、1stソロライブの開催も決定した。アルバムと共にぜひチェックしてほしい。

SURFACEとしての活動だけには留まらず、ふたりが今後どのような活動をしていくのか要注目だ。
