Phantasmagoriaのベスト盤が8月31日に発売。8月25日には戮とKISAKIが5年ぶりに同じバンドで共演。それが示す意味とは…。

　La:Sadie's/MIRAGE/Syndrome/Phantasmagoria/凜…。ヴィジュアル系の歴史を語るうえで、先に記した一つ一つのバンドの功績は欠かせない。まさにKISAKIは、ヴィジュアルシーンの栄枯盛衰を身をもって味わい続けてきたミュージシャンだ。
過去にも、自分の歴史を掘り返しては封印を繰り返してきたように、今も、不定期な活動とはいえMIRAGEを現在に甦らせ、「在りし日の良さを継承しながらも今へと進化した形」を提示し、今のシーンへKISAKIは刺激を与えている。
　他にも、「輪廻転生」などのイベントを通し、時代に強烈な歩みを刻んだバンドを甦らせては、その時代毎のシーンを煽動してきた。そんな伝説の墓掘り人KISAKIが、ふたたび、みずからの歴史の歩みを現代に甦らせた。

2018年8月31日、Phantasmagoriaのベスト盤『BEST COLLECTION 2004～2008』が、完全限定盤として「ライブ会場」及び「通信販売」限定で発売することが発表になった。
8月31日と言えば、Phantasmagoriaが解散ライブや限定復活ライブを行った日であり、KISAKIが引退をした日でもある。何かにつけて8月31日に新しいアクションや終わりの鐘を鳴らしてきたKISAKIのように、Phantasmagoriaが終焉を迎えた日に、ふたたびPhantasmagoriaの記憶を音源として甦らせたところに嬉しいドラマを覚える。

　さらに、嬉しいニュースがもう一つ。8月25日(土)に大阪BananaHallを舞台に行われるイベント「Bar "Paradox" 15th Anniversary～パラソニ・スペシャル～」へ、戮とKISAKIが手を組んだ「KISAKI SPECIAL BAND」(Vo:戮 B:KISAKI G:須賀勇介 G:ユッキー Ds:美景)が出演する。KISAKIが運営していたUNDER CODE PRODUCTIONに所属していたメンバーたちが集結。何より、Phantasmagoriaのメンバーとして活動していた戮とKISAKIが、ベスト盤の発売を前に5年ぶりに共演する。そこにどんな意味が隠されているかは、あなたの頭を少しひねれば見えてくるだろう。このバンドのライブは見逃せない。

今回のKISAKI SPECIAL BANDのステージや、Phantasmagoriaのベスト盤『BEST COLLECTION 2004～2008』が、今後のKISAKIの動きにどんな道筋を照らすのか。そこは、本人が沈黙しているようにわからない。ただ、KISAKIが意志を持って動くということは、時代に何かしらの啓示を与えてゆくこと。それが何なのか、まずは、あなた自身の目で目撃していただきたい。
