44MAGNUM、NEWアルバム詳細と最新アー写公開

今年デビュー35周年を迎え35th ANNIVERSARY YEARを展開中のロックバンド「44MAGNUM」2019年1月30日にリリースされるニューアルバム「PRISONER」の詳細と最新アーティスト写真が公開された。

「PRISONER」は、44MAGNUMの「歴史」と「現在」をこの節目の年にコンプリートさせると言うコンセプトの元主にデビュー前に制作されたデモ音源、仮音源、また完成していながらアルバムに収録されなかった楽曲など、スタジオ音源として発表されずにいた楽曲を「最新」の作品としてレコーディング。

例えば、本作1曲目に収録されている「I'm Lonely Man」は、インディーズ時代から多く演奏されてきた当時の代表曲と言えるものであり、ファーストアルバムに収録される予定でもあったが最終的に収録されず、ファンの間では幻の名曲として今日に至っている楽曲。

さらにSTEVIE(Vo)の参加以降、44MAGNUMの音源は、5人によって制作されてたが、本作品はボーカルパートをすべてPAUL(Vo)が担当し歌う事により35年目にして「新たなファーストアルバム」とも呼ぶべき44MAGNUMが44MAGNUMであり続けるための作品として完成した。

アルバムリリース後の初ライヴは、2019年2月3日(日)、2月10日(日)に新横浜NEW SIDE BEACH!!にてそしてアニバーサリーイヤーの集大成となる「44MAGNUM 35th ANNIVERSARY FINAL GIG」は、3月31日(日)梅田am HALL、4月4日(木)新宿BLAZEにて開催される。

1977年にバンド結成後、日本のハードロックシーンの先駆者として活躍、後のビジュアル系ロックにも多大な影響を与えたが1989年突如解散を表明、以降長らく伝説のバンドとして語り続けられる事となるが2002年に再び集結、しかし2006年にボーカルPAULが若年性パーキンソン病を発症するなど数多くの難題を乗り越え今年35周年を迎えた44MAGNUMの歴史と現在が凝縮されたNEW ALBUM「PRISONER」。
2019年全てのロックファン必聴の1枚となる事は間違いない。
