凄まじいテクニックで幅広い支持を得ているロック・ベーシストIKUOが 東名阪でソロ・ワンマンを開催

T.M.RevolutionやL’Arc～en～cielのTETSUYAソロバンド、ラウド＆ミクスチャーバンド、BULL ZEICHEN 88、トリプル・ベース・ユニットTHE CHOPPERS REVOLUTIONやRayflowerのメンバーとして、またアニメ『テニスの王子様』の主題歌でヴォーカルも披露するなど、ロック、ジャズ・フュージョン、アニソンとジャンルレスに活躍し、その端正なルックスとメカニカルなテクニックで幅広い支持を得ている、ロック・ベーシストIKUO(イクオ)が、7月24日にリリースした2ndソロ・アルバム『Easy come, easy core!!』を引っさげ、東名阪ツアーを敢行中だ。
メンバーはレコーディングと同じく、多方面で活躍しているビジュアル系屈指のテクニックを誇る8弦ギタリストLeda、人気バンドThe Winking OwlのドラマーKenTとのトリオ。

ベーシストとして絶大な支持を誇るIKUOだが、実はソロ・デビューがヴォーカリストとして、大人気アニメ「テニスの王子様」のオープニング曲だったということもあり、アニソンにも造詣の深く、『Easy come, easy core!!』にも『デジモンセイバーズ』オープニング・テーマ「ヒラリ」や、『テニスの王子様』オープニング・テーマ「Make you Free」を収録しており、本ツアーでも披露。アニソン・ファンからの視線も熱い。
中でも「ヒラリ」は惜しくもこの世を去った和田光司氏の三回忌追悼ライブで初めて披露し、本作でも収録することを決めた思い入れのあるナンバーであり、IKUO自身にとっても、アニソン・ファンにとっても感慨深い1曲である。

「Make you Free」ではサプライズ・ゲストとして人気ピアニスト“まらしぃ”が登場し、会場が騒然。IKUO、KenTと貴重なトリオでの競演は圧巻のものであった。

残るは8月12日(月・祝)東京/高田馬場CLUB PHASE公演のみとなっているが、こちらは一度ソールド・アウトし追加販売分も完売しているため、さらなるソロ・ツアーの発表に期待が募る。
