Aphrodite、単独公演を通しソーシャルディスタンスを取った集客ライブを解禁!!

コロナ禍という長い活動制限期間を乗り越え、6月25日に目黒鹿鳴館を舞台に行ったAphrodite復活ライブ「〜Renaissance et résurrection〜再生と復活」を持って、ついにAphroditeが活動の再開を告げた。
この日は、ソーシャルディスタンスを尊重し70人限定ライブとして開催。チケットは、発売後すぐにSold Outを記録。新たな始まりの舞台の模様を、以下へ記そうか。


　荘厳華美な音色がフロア中を包みだす。厳かな調べ。その音色は、次第に重厚さと華やかさを増してゆく。音に導かれ開いた幕のその先には、Aphroditeのメンバーたちの姿が…。

　ライブは、ここが至高の楽園だと宣言するように「EDEN」から幕を開けた。冒頭から観客たちがマスク越しに声を張り上げ、メンバーたちへ絶叫にも似た声援を送り出す。舞台上のメンバーたちも、待ちわびたこの日へ想いの丈をぶつけようと、凛々しく気高き姿を見せながらも、歌声には何時も以上に気合いを込めていた。爆音で有名なAphroditeのライブだが、この日はフロア中からも観客たちの凄まじい声が轟き渡っていた。それくらい、お互いがライブハウスという空間の中で、熱を交わすのを心待ちにしていた。凛々しい姿のメンバーたちに向け飛び交う声援は、きっと彼女たちの心の糧になっていたはずだ。熱唱するその聖なる歌声は、何時も以上に神々しく思えていた。

MCを一切排除し突き進むAphroditeのライブ。彼女たちは、この空間へ新たな時代を創世する想いを胸に「GENESIS」を力強く歌唱。気持ちを一つにした6人の歌声が美しくも雄々しい響きとなり、身体を直撃する。フロアでは、さらに感情のボリュームを上げた70人の猛者たちが、喉が千切れんばかりに声を張り上げ、彼女たちに野太いエールを送り続けてゆく。蒼い闇の世界の中、生を謳歌するように舞い歌う6人の黒い聖女たちから、今はまだ目を逸らしたくない。

轟音ギターサウンドが炸裂。フロアから起きた熱いコール。厳かな存在が胎動するように、Aphroditeは朗々と「セラフィムの夜」を歌いだす。触れてはいけない呪われた歌劇に触れ、心が過激に震えだす。一人一人が歌の語り部となり、物語を語り続ける。その様に声を張り上げ、腕を突き上げながら、フロア中の人たちが想いを捧げ続けていた。重厚シンフォニックな音が渦巻く空間の中、今は素直に闇の宴に溺れようか…。

　感情を痛く切り裂くように響いた音色に乗せてAphroditeが紡いだのが、「My Sweet Bach」。旋律に戦慄するといえば良いだろうか。美しい歌メロをはべらせながらも、舞台上からは、心地好い緊張感を与える幻想的で華美な調べが身体へ次々と降り注がれていた。ゴシック浪漫な世界に浸る中、チクチクとした刺激が背筋をピリピリと走る感覚が痛心地好い。

　ここで新メンバーの紹介も含みつつ、換気タイムを兼ねた倉澤雪乃のツンなMCを挟み、ライブは後半戦へ。

ここは、未来を閉ざした世紀末の世界??。それとも、新たな未来を創設する舞台?!。嘆きを抱いた美しき調べから、一転。すべての存在をなぎ倒すように、攻撃的な黒い音を叩きつける。Aphroditeは、雄々しく「Distopia」を歌いだした。破壊力満載な楽曲の中、彼女たちはここに存在する意味を誇示するように歌い続ける。たった一夜だけ現れ、また幻のように消えてしまうこの宴を、彼女たちは触れた人たちの記憶へ刻もうと歌い続けていた。

続く「Re-call」を通し、Aphroditeがこの空間に創りあげた微睡みの園。ただし、そこは甘い空間ではない。心地好い戦慄を覚えながらも、曲世界の中へずっと浸り続けていたい。そんな風に感覚を鈍らせる黒い楽園だ。そこへ救いや希望を感じる輩どもたちには、今宵の園も、黒く、美しくまどろんで見えていた。

この日が初披露となる新曲の「nocturne」の登場だ。しなる鞭のような刺激の強い音が身体を、感覚を打ちつける。一気にダメージを与える曲というよりも、触れた人たちの意識をジワジワと美しい歌メロとしなる音でなぶる楽曲だ。これまでの表情とは異なる角度からAphroditeは刺激を突きつけてきた。観客たちは曲が持つ魔性の魅力に心を縛られながらも、舞台上へずっと視線を注いでいた。楽曲の持つ破壊性とは裏腹に、歌メロには親しみやすさを覚えずにいれなかった。

今宵の宴の最後を担ったのが、破壊力満載な暴走轟音交狂曲「ユダの接吻」だ。凛々しい歌声で煽る彼女たちへ、フロア中の人たちが雄々しく声を上げ、沸きだす想いをぶつけていた。ふたたび会場の熱気を一つに作り上げた、意識を混濁する邪黒な宴。でも、その毒牙に取り憑かれた人たちには、堪らなく刺激的なひとときだったに違いない。

Aphroditeは、限られた条件の中でとはいえ、ここからふたたびライブ活動を始める。12月には渋谷Beatsでのワンマン公演も決定している。これからも、Aphroditeの動きに視線を向けてくれ。
