The Foglandsが7月9日に初の全国流通盤となるミニアルバムをリリース＆タイトル曲MVを公開

　京都発の4人組The Foglandsが7月9日に初の全国流通盤となるミニアルバム『Hats Off Blues』をリリースすることを発表。そして、そんな同作からタイトル曲である「Hats Off Blues」のMVを公開した。

　HAPPYやThe fin.など今一番勢いのある関西シーンにおいて異色の存在感を放つ京都発4人組、The Foglands.。くるりの岸田繁氏がTwitterで絶賛したそのサウンドは、ブルースにフォークにブルーグラス、ロックンロール、スキッフルなど、ヴィンテージなサウンドをストイックに突き詰めた本物志向の音を鳴らすバンドで、クールで現代的なポップ感のセンスは新人バンドらしからぬ大物感を秘めている。また、ヴォーカルShimakawaの独特な歌詞は映画のワンシーンを想像させるストーリー性と創造性がある。ウィスキーで焦げたような歌声、ブルージーなメロディに軽重自在のグルーヴ。若いながらも燻しの効いたロックンロールをかき鳴らす彼らは、どこかで聴いたことのある日本の音楽ではない。00年代に起こったガレージロックリバイバル世代が30～40年代のジャズ&ブルースをリスペクトし、京都から発信される現在の新しいロックと言えるだろう。

　また、PILLS EMPIREのメンバーでもあり、キュウソネコカミ、Czecho No Repubicなど手掛ける映像クリエイター加藤マニによる、タイトル曲「Hats Off Blues」のMVを公開した。

　さらに、サウンドクラウドでは同作収録曲の「Backward Pawn Blues」を先行公開中！

The Foglandsというバンドがいる。
すき間の多いアレンジと、ナチュラルなやさぐれ感。
それって意外と今までの日本の音楽でやれそうでやれなかったことのような。

あどけない表情の中に音楽への愛情とアイディアを詰め込んだ彼らの存在は、必ず新しい風向きの指針の一つ。

俺は久しぶりに興奮している。
