松井常松、5年振りソロアルバム『Reverie』を12月24日にリリース

今年ソロデビュー25周年を迎えた元BOØWYのベーシスト松井常松が、5年振りのソロアルバムを、BOØWY解散記念日の12月24日に、BOØWYの1stアルバム『MORAL』以来の古巣であるビクターよりリリースすることが決定した。

1stソロアルバム『よろこびのうた』、2ndアルバム『SONG OF JOY』以来のNEW WAVE×AMBIENT×TRADを横断する世界基準のミュージックプラン「よろこびのうた」シリーズを遂に再始動する。

松井常松の1stソロアルバム『よろこびのうた』（1989）は、今年惜しまれつつ逝去された佐久間正英プロデュースのもと、ゲストにノルウェーのコクトーツインズとも呼ばれたニューウェーヴバンド、Bel Cantoのアネリー・マリアン・ドレッカーを迎えて制作された。英詞曲とインストゥルメンタル曲とによる、NEW WAVE×AMBIENT×TRADを横断して紡ぎ上げられた充実のポストロックサウンドで、BOØWYファンを裏切りつつも国内外で高く評価され、日本のほかベルギー、オランダ、ルクセンブルグ、フランスで発売され多くの熱心な音楽ファンの支持を得た。

続く2ndアルバム『SONG OF JOY』（1991）では、当時マドンナ、デペッシュ・モード、チャカ・カーン等のサウンドワークを支えたGOH HOTODAをCoプロデュースに迎え、英詞曲とインストゥルメンタルの洗練の系譜は前作を踏襲しつつも更なるPOPSの煌めきを追求し、「Diamond Avenue」「TEARS」などテクノロジーと叙情/郷愁溢れる旋律が有機的に結合した"松井POP"が結実を迎えた。

以降、自作曲を日本語で歌い、時にベース、時にアコースティックギターを手に作品制作とライヴ活動を展開。今回ソロ活動25周年に際し、スタート地点であったインストゥルメンタルを主体としつつ、全篇自身のプログラムによる音像豊かなアンビエントとトラッドを重ねた幻想的なサウンドをもってキャリアの歩を進める。

ニューアルバムのタイトルは『Reverie』（レヴェリー）。Reverieとは、目覚めている時の幻想、夢想。Rêverie『夢想』は、クロード・ドビュッシーが作曲したピアノ独奏曲。『夢』（ゆめ）とも訳される、幻想曲。

ニューアルバム『Reverie』は12月24日発売となる。この日は1987年にBOØWYが渋谷公会堂で解散発表をし、また1990年に松井常松初のソロライヴを渋谷公会堂で行った、本人、ファンともにメモリアルな日である。

「Unclassifiable」
辞書などで調べると分類不能と出てきます。
何の話かというと、iTunes等にCDを読み込ませると様々な情報が表示されますが、僕のファースト・ソロアルバム「YOROKOBI NO UTA」を取り込むと、ジャンルの欄にこう表記されます。
今まで誰も聞いたことのない、無国籍で幻のような音楽、そういうモノを夢見て、また目指していました。
それが僕の、ソロワークの原点でした。
あれから25年、僕は再びそこに立ち返っています。
楽器すら持たずに、デジタルな断片のみを紡いだ音のコラージュ。
自由で危うい、白日夢のような音の集まり。
あの時以上に、奔放に自分を解き放つことができました。
楽しんでもらえると嬉しいです。
