チャットモンチーがニューシングル「こころとあたま / いたちごっこ」MVフルVer.公開

2年ぶりのリリースとなる10月29日発売のニューシングル「こころとあたま / いたちごっこ」のミュージックビデオのショートバージョンを先日公開し、話題を呼んだことが記憶に新しいチャットモンチー。本日、待望のフルバージョンがYouTube、GyaO!にて公開した。

「こころとあたま」MVは、絵画、漫画、アニメーション作家として現在大きな注目を集め、今回がMV初作品となるぬＱによるアニメーション。強烈なインパクトを残す映像の連続は、中毒性が高い仕上がりとなっている。メンバーも、「ライブで演奏している時も、MVの映像があたまに浮かんできてしまう(笑)」との事。フルVer.では、新たなキャラクターやアイテムも登場し、さらにカオティックに一気にラストへ突き進んでいく。

また「いたちごっこ」MVは、さまざまな話題作を手掛ける山岸聖太による「OL。24歳。レコード会社勤務」の主人公の逆切れ的な一日を描く、ミュージカル風MV。ショートVer.公開後、主人公を演じる女優 吉岡里帆さんが、可愛いと話題になっている。フルVer.では、チャットモンチーが意外な登場の仕方をする上、ラストの吉岡さんの迫真の演技から目が離せない内容となっている。

■「こころとあたま」MV監督 ぬQ氏から一言
曲を聴いて「私たちは、『こころ』で感じた事や『あたま』で考えた事が、一致している時もあれば、離れてしまう時もある。時に矛盾したり反発してしまう気持ちや理屈が一緒だったらいいのになあ」というメッセージを受け取りました。
曲では「こころ」と「あたま」に二分されていますが、昨日の自分の「こころ」と今日の自分の「こころ」が矛盾することもありますし、私の「こころ」と「あたま」が一致していても、第三者のそれと対立してしまうこともあります。
さらに、気持ちや理屈の大きさは一定ではなく、高揚したり、しぼんだりと耐えず変動しています。
ですので、アニメーション内で、キャラクター、物体、時系列、表現方法に負荷をかけて分裂させ、バラバラになったものが形をかえながら、一つになったり、また分裂したりするような構成になっています。

■「こころとあたま」MVあらすじ
ジュースの飲み過ぎで、「あたま」から体が押し出されてしまった女の子。体は「こころ」と繋がっていて、一目散に逃げてしまった。彼女は、「こころ」を失った「あたま」だけの存在になってしまったのだ。
男は「あたま」を慰めながら、「こころ」を追いかけようと奮闘する。こんな時、「自転車」さえあれば…。「自転車」とは流星のような早さで、惑星のようにクルクルと“自転”する幻の乗り物。
しかし地に降りた瞬間に撤去されてしまうので、誰も見た事がなかった。どこで手に入れればいいのか？
逃げる心は矢に、あたまにあいた穴はブラックホールに、傘はルーレットに、桃はハートに、全てが形をかえながら、希望に向かって進むアニメーション。
