LUNA SEA、25周年ツアー最終公演で主宰ロックフェスの開催を発表

3月14日（土）に大阪城ホールにて25周年を記念するツアーの最終公演を行なったLUNA SEAが、6月27日（土）と28日（日）に幕張メッセにおいてLUNA SEA史上初となる主催ロックフェス『LUNATIC FEST.』の開催を発表した。

昨年2014年5月29日に代々木第一体育館を皮切りに、バンド結成25周年を記念し約14年振りとなる全国ツアー『LUNA SEA 25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR THE LUNATIC -A Liberated Will- FINAL』を展開し、前述の大阪城ホールでそのファイナルを迎えたLUNA SEA。

事前にバンドの今後に関連する告知を行なうと公表され、各メンバーがTwitterにてカタカナで謎のツイートを投稿するなど、スレイブはもちろん、多くのロックファンや音楽好きからも注目を集めていたのだが、その期待を何倍も上回る発表となったことだろう。

約1万3千人の大観衆がバックヤードまで360度ぐるりとステージを囲んだ大阪城ホール。このツアーで大きく進化を遂げた最新アルバム“A WILL”のナンバーを中心に、「ROSIER」「I for you」などのヒットナンバーを盛り込んだセットリストで、白熱のステージを披露した。

この日はツアーファイナルならではのスペシャルな瞬間も。本編を終え再びアンコールで登場すると、RYUICHIから「みんな、写真撮っていいよ。今、世界一熱い大阪城ホールを撮って、世界に発信してよ」と提案。ステージ上のメンバーを撮影できるというサプライズが起こった。

そして、「25年前に5人が集まった時、ただのくそガキだったんだよ。みんながここに連れてきてくれた。どうもありがとう」と感謝の気持ちを伝えると、「久々にこんな曲を用意しました」と、終幕前の最後のシングル曲となった「LOVE SONG」を披露。演奏中、ステージ上のスクリーンに映し出されたのは、25年前から現在までの写真やPV、ライブ映像の数々。25年間に渡るバンドの歩みが走馬灯のように大ビジョンに映さし出される中、歓喜と涙に包まれた1万3千人との大合唱が、会場いっぱいに響き渡った。 そして、この日最後の曲、「Grace」で大きな感動を呼んだ後、会場を見渡しながらRYUICHIが語り始めた。

「俺たちは確かにここで立ち止まります。当分ツアーという形ではみんなに会えないかもしれない。でも、俺たちには未来があるから。次はさらなる高みを目指しているから。愛してるよ、大阪！」という言葉を残し、メンバーは連なるようにステージを後にした。

再びメンバーをステージに呼ぼうとする声援、それを断ち切るように、突然客電が落ちた。1万3千人が一斉に息を飲む中、スクリーンに映し出されたのは、LUNA SEA初となる自らが主宰するロックフェス、『LUNATIC FEST.』開催の発表だ。その瞬間、会場中に狂喜の大歓声がこだました。

現在発表されているのは開催日と会場名だけだが、今後その全貌は特設サイトにて徐々に明らかにされていくとのこと。

「史上最狂」「狂おしき奇跡のFES。」というキャッチフレーズにもあるように、LUNA SEAならではの、LUNA SEAだからこそ、LUNA SEAにしか出来ない、時代を超越した奇跡のラインナップが実現するようなので、今後の動きにも大いに注目である。次なるアクションは3月20日だ！
