Hysteric Lolita、初の欧州遠征で現地ファンと完全燃焼

Hysteric Lolitaが7月1日から約2週間かけてフランスとイギリス、二国に股がる欧州遠征ツアーを行なった。

今回の目的は「Smile for Children」と銘打ったチャリティーイベント開催のため、そして何より彼女達自身の成長のためである。“ゴシック・パンクロック発祥の地ロンドン"で自分達の音楽や技術、魂がどこまで通用するのかが試された。

まずはフランス・パリへと渡った一同。JapanFMブースに出演のためJapan Expo会場へ。ジャパンポップカルチャー好きの現地フランス人達と交流を果たし、その存在をアピールした。その後、パリ市内にてチャリティーライブ「Smile for Children in Paris」を開催。会場に集まったパリっ子達を唸らせるステージを披露し、フランスに大きな足跡を残した。

そして海を渡り、今回の本当の目的地とも言えるイギリスへ。ロンドン郊外にある有名レコーディングスタジオにて英ガールズバンドJOANovARCと数日に渡る合同合宿を行なった。慣れない英語でのコミュニケーション、しかし言葉は通じなくとも音楽で通じ合い、確実に距離を縮めていく2つのバンド。この合宿でRani（Vo）が初めて作詞・作曲に挑戦し、曲のアレンジをJOANovARCと共同で行ない、初UKレコーディング。Hysteric Lolitaの5人は着実にバンドしてスケールアップしていく。

7月11日にはイギリス・ロンドン郊外のライブハウスClub85にてチャリティーイベント「Smile for Children in London」を開催。このイベントはHysteric Lolitaと地元ラジオ局SG1Radioによる共催、Club85協力のもと実現した入場無料ライブで、集まった募金は全て開催国のUNICEF（国際連合児童基金）に寄付される。

会場は熱気あふれるUKロックファンで埋め尽くされ、ついにライブがスタート。まずは、Circadian Rhythmが登場。アコギとループマシン、男女2人のボーカルによりチルアウトな空間を作り出してゆく。続いて、This is Echo。タイトなドラムの上で緩急使い分けるポストロック的なサウンドを紡ぎだすギター、女性Voがとてもチャーミングなバンドだ。そして、Echo Tree。跳ね系の16ビートでファンキーなサウンドを聴かせてくれる。そして次に、スタジオ・レコーディングにてHysteric Lolitaと時間を共有したJOANovARCが登場。8ビート主体の飾りっ気の無いストレートで骨太なロックサウンドでフロアを圧倒。「ロックはこうやるんだ！」と言わんばかりに畳みかけてくる。ジャパニーズ有名ロックバンドのカバー曲まで飛び出し会場は更にヒートアップ。そこでラストはメインアクト、Hysteric Lolitaの登場。1曲目から満員に埋め尽くされた観客達は歌い、踊り、体を揺らし、そして叫ぶ。フランスのライブで感覚を掴んだのか、異国のステージを完全に自分達のモノにしていく5人。そしてアンコールではJOANovARCと共同アレンジした新曲「生きる〜ALIVE〜」を2バンド共演で披露。日英ガールズバンドが同じステージに立ち、言葉や国境の壁を乗り越え会場全体がひとつになった瞬間だった。

欧州遠征を経て進化した " TOKYO HARAJUKU GIRLS BAND " ヒスロリ。帰国後は休む間もなく各地のライブイベントに出演が決まっている。今後の彼女達の動きから目が離せない。
