Hysteric Lolita、チャリティー・イベント「Smile for Children in Paris」を開催

Hysteric Lolitaが『ジャパンエキスポ 2015 Paris』開催期間中の7月3日、パリ郊外にあるライブハウス“Covent Garden Studios”にてチャリティー・イベント「Smile for Children in Paris」を開催した。

Hysteric Lolitaは原宿ファッション雑誌「KERA」読者10万人の中から選ばれた5人組の原宿系ヴィジュアルネオ・ゴシック・ロックガールズバンド。この「Smile for Children for Paris」と銘打たれた同イベントは “世界で飢餓に苦しむ子供達と親の居ない子供達が笑顔で居られるように”と、(株)クール・ジャパンとHysteric Lolitaの呼びかけにより実現した入場無料の音楽チャリティーイベントで、集まった募金は全て開催国のUNICEF(国際連合児童基金)に寄付される。

まずは、地元パリの人気ガールズ・バンドWhere is Nina?がステージに登場。軽快なロックで観客を惹きつけていく。続いて、BELZAがロック＋エレクトロ＋シャンソンを織り交ぜたオリジナリティ溢れる楽曲で独自の世界観を構築、アーティスティックなステージを演出していた。

そして、Hysteric Lolitaが登場！　日本から飛び出し初のヨーロッパ、フランスのステージにあがった5人。慣れない土地、慣れない環境でのライブに戸惑っているのでは、と思われたが、そんな予想を覆す程のオーラで会場の空気を一転させ、1曲目からアクセル全開なパフォーマンスを繰り広げた。

地元アーティスト達に混ざると一層際立つ、その小さな体からは信じられないようなパワフルでエネルギー溢れたステージングで、パリの観客達をぐいぐい惹きつけていったHysteric Lolita。初めは“異端”なものを見る目であったパリっ子達だが、徐々に体が動きライブ後半にはボーカルRaniの呼びかけに応え、コール＆レスポンスで会場は一体となった。

そしてラスト、KENTA HAYASHIが登場。アコギ＆ループマシンのシンプルなセットからは想像もつかない分厚いサウンドで会場を圧倒、タッピング奏法も織り交ぜながら唯一無二の世界を作り上げる。ギター1本で世界中を旅している貫禄のアーティストが、この日を見事に締めくくった。

Hysteric Lolitaの呼びかけにより実現した「Smile for Children for Paris」。まさに“音楽は国境を越える”そんな言葉を体現したライブになり、フランス・パリに大きな足跡を残した。
