SIAM SHADE、全国Zepp TOUR最終日に10月の日本武道館公演を発表

SIAM SHADEが3月5日・6日の2日間、全国Zepp TOUR『The Ultimate Fight Series』の追加公演をZepp Tokyoにて開催した。

2002年に解散し、メジャーデビュー20周年の2015年10月に再結成したSIAM SHADE。20th Anniversary year 2015-2016として10月18日に『The Abiding Belief』と銘打ったライヴをさいたまスーパーアリーナにて開催し、デビュー日となる同月21日には『The Rain Lets Up』というタイトルでZepp Tokyoでライヴを開催。そして、2016年2月には『The Ultimate Fight Series』と題した全国Zepp TOURが各地完売となり、今回の追加公演に至った。

3月6日、ツアーもついにファイナル。開演時間になると、栄喜、KAZUMA、DAITA、NATCHIN、淳士がステージに現れ、地鳴りのような拍手と声援が彼らを迎えた。それに応えるかのようにオープニングナンバーの「JUMPING JUNKIE」から熱いステージパフォーマンスを展開し、会場をさらに熱くする。

ツアータイトルにもなっている“Ultimate”という言葉の意味は、“最後の”、そして“究極の”だ。「1999」や「BLACK」「PASSION」と言ったシングル曲を軸にして、中盤では「if〜ひとりごと〜」をじっくりと聴かせたり、淳士のドラムソロを含むインストゥルメンタルナンバーを盛り込むなど、ツアータイトル通り、究極のSIAM SHADEの魅力を余すところなく堪能できるセットリストが組まれている。

後半もブレイクのきっかけとなった「1/3の純情な感情」やデビュー曲「RAIN」を投入し、息もつかせない勢いで攻めていく。曲によってはコール＆レスポンスを取り入れ、みんなで大合唱し、オーディエンス参加型が強固な一体感を作り上げた。

アンコールでは「Dear…」や2013年9月に配信リリースされた「Still We Go」、そして今回のツアーではラストナンバーとして演奏されてきた「Don’t tell lies」でこの日も締めくくった……はずだったが、アンコールの声が止まず、「一緒に歌いたいってことでいいか？」とダブルアンコールとして「Dreams」を披露。メンバー5人と6人目のメンバー（ファン）との絆を確かめるような大合唱となった。

歌い終わった後、栄喜が「この20周年イヤーの最後を俺達の聖地、日本武道館で締めたいと思います。10月にまた会いましょう！」と、まさにビッグなサプライズを届けてくれた。10月10日（月・祝）大阪・グランキューブ大阪、15日（土）宮城・仙台サンプラザホール、そして20日（木）東京・日本武道館。20周年イヤー最終公演のツアータイトル『FINAL ROAD LAST SANCTUARY』に込められた彼等の想いはきっと6人目のメンバーに伝わっているはずだ。
