AKi、故郷・厚木より待望の初ワンマンツアーがスタート

シドのベーシストである明希が、昨年に始動させたソロプロジェクト“AKi"。年明けからムックとのダブルヘッドライナーツアーで全国を回り、5月1日には全21公演に上る初ワンマンツアー“HEADZ UP&DO IT!"が遂にスタートした。

故郷である厚木での初日公演に続き、5月3日には町田プレイハウスに登場して、「昔、よく近くのスタジオで練習してた」という思い出の街ならではの熱い初期衝動を爆発させた。

ライブハウスを中心に組まれた本ツアーで彼が訴えたのは、丸裸になって声を、想いをオーディエンスと間近でぶつけ合う、ロックバンドならではの魂の交感。ギターに佑聖（ex THE KIDDIE、GUTS AND DEATH）、加藤貴之（兎-usagi-）、ドラムに宮上元克（THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS）と、昨年2月の1stライブから共にグルーヴを成してきた面々とスリリングに渡り合い、あくまでバンドとしての一体感を追求する様は、手に汗握るアグレッションに満ちていた。結果、パワーコーラスが轟く「HEADZ UP」や、衝動の緩急が得も言われぬ美を誘う「libido」といった本ツアーから初披露の新曲でも、オーディエンスの拳や声の勢いは満点。その様子に「すごい熱気だね。ヤバいわ」とAKiも思わず破顔するが、いわく、ツアータイトルに籠めた意味は「“やるしかねぇ！"みたいな感じ」とのこと。つまり全ては彼の目論見通りで、その熱さのぶんだけリリカルな「Wait for You」やファルセットが甘く響く「LOOP」等、静謐で幻想的な持ち味までも際立たせるのだからズルい。「何かを好きと思う気持ち、それを貫く想いは何より強いと思っています」という言葉を証明するが如く、ひたむきな歌声と重厚なベース音に乗せてありったけのパッションを放てば、ソールドアウトのフロアは狂騒の宴へ。「ロックンロールしてるね！ ライブでしか味わえないこの感じに憑りつかれて、ずっと音楽やってます。ロックは好きかい!?　ロックンロールは好きかい!?」とパワフルに突き抜けて、オーディエンスの大合唱のうちにライブの幕は閉じた。

この後、ツアーは札幌から鹿児島まで全国を回り、7月18日のZepp DiverCity Tokyoでファイナルを迎える。AKi純度100％のワイルドなロック魂を堪能できるチャンスを、ぜひとも逃してはならない。
