THE YELLOW MONKEY、8月に福島にて全国ツアー特別公演が開催決定

5月11日より全国ツアー「THE YELLOW MONKEY SUPER JAPAN TOUR 2016」を行なうTHE YELLOW MONKEYが、ツアー中、8月27日（土）と28日（日）に福島・あづま総合体育館にて「THE YELLOW MONKEY SUPER JAPAN TOUR 2016 SPECIAL -ARE YOU A BELIEVER?-」と題した特別公演を行なうことが決定した。

バンドの活動休止中にも国内では大きな災害が起きており、5月11日から始まる全国ツアーのタイトルにある“SUPER JAPAN"には、そういった状況の中でも“日本を盛り上げたい"という想いも込められている。そんな想いを形にしたく福島公演を特別な公演として開催する運びとなった。当日のライヴ会場横には「チャリティーフリーマーケット」会場を設け、バンド関連のレアアイテムやメンバーの私物などを特別販売する。

また、全国の災害により被害を受けられた方々への支援を目的として、ツアー各会場に「バラ色募金」と名付けた募金箱が設置される。これは2013年のファン投票で1番人気のあった曲「バラ色の日々」からつけた名前で、100円以上の募金にご協力いただいた方には、“特製ピック"が用意されている。今回の「バラ色募金」で集まった金額と福島公演時に開催する「チャリティーフリーマーケット」の収益金全額は、「東日本大震災」、4月に起こった「熊本地震」の復興関連への寄付が検討されており、具体的な寄付先については決定次第オフィシャルHPにて発表される。

また8月の横浜、福島公演を含めて全国12会場24公演となった全国ツアーをより盛り上げていく新しい企画として、ドキュメント「わたしの初日！」と題した動画投稿企画がスタートした。全国のファンの方はそれぞれの初日をテーマとしたドキドキやワクワク、喜びの気持ちを動画に撮って、一緒にこのツアーを楽しんでもらいたい。
