WEAVER、10月リリースの新曲がアニメ『うどんの国の金色毛鞠』OP曲に決定

WEAVERが全国14箇所を巡るライブハウスツアー「WEAVER 11th Additional TOUR 2016『Walk on the Night Rainbow』」のファイナル公演を愛媛W studio REDにて行なった。

今公演はソールドアウトとなっており、ライブスタート前から会場は熱気に包まれていた。SEの「Overture」が流れるステージにメンバーが登場すると、観客も大きな歓声と割れんばかりの拍手で答える。

今年2月に発売した3年ぶりとなるオリジナルアルバム『Night Rainbow』を引っ提げ、4月からホールツアー、そして6月からはAdditionalツアーとしてライブハウスならではのアレンジや演奏で、アルバムの楽曲を観客と共に成長させてきたWEAVER。楽曲自体のクォリティーは更に広がり、メンバー同士の複雑に絡み合う演奏に応えるように熱量を増し、盛り上がっていく。この日はLINE LIVEの生中継も入っており、カメラの向こうのファンへも会場の熱気が伝わるようなパフォーマンスは圧巻で、まさにアルバムの完成形を作り上げた最終日となった。

ライブ本編が終了したところで、メンバーがステージに並び、8月24日に発売されるDVDの告知からMCを始めた。続けてベースの奥野が『10月にニューシングルをリリースします！ そしてそのシングルに収録される楽曲がアニメ「うどんの国の金色毛鞠」のOPテーマに決定しました！』という発表に、会場は大歓声を上げて喜んだ。さらに『今日でこのツアーは終わってしまうけど、年末にライブを行ないます！ 10月は僕らのデビュー月だったりもするので、またここから新しいWEAVERをみんなに見せていきたい！』と立て続けに発表すると、再び会場は大きな拍手と歓声に包まれた。続けて、ピアノ＆ボーカルの杉本が『楽曲でもライブでもどんどん変化したWEAVERの姿を見せられる様になった。みんなと一緒にもっともっと大きな景色を見にいきたいと思います！ これからの発表を楽しみに待っていてください。本当に今日はありがとう！』と、今の心境を力強くファンに伝えた。

WEAVERがOPテーマを務めるアニメ『うどんの国の金色毛鞠』は、日本テレビ・西日本放送ほかにて、10月から放送が予定されている。WEAVERの新曲とアニメの世界観がどうマッチするのか、今から放送が待ちきれない！

この秋、「うどんの国の金色毛鞠」のオープニングテーマをWEAVERが担当させていただくことになり大変嬉しく思います。

このお話を頂いた次の日早速原作を手にし、香川を舞台に主人公宗太とポコを中心に繰り広げられるぬくもり溢れる世界観に、読み終えた後とても温かく心が浄化された気持ちになりました。

そんなこの作品の登場人物たちの、意識せずとも互いが互いの支えになり暮らしていく姿からインスピレーションを受けて作りました。

WEAVERの音楽でこの作品をより色彩豊かなものにし、皆さんに「うどんの国の金色毛鞠」の世界を存分に楽しんでもらえれば幸いです。
