I Don't Like Mondays. 、大盛況のツアーファイナルで初のプロデュースイベント開催を発表

I Don't Like Mondays.が、自身初となる全国ツアー『I Don't Like Mondays. “FASHION” 1st Tour』のファイナル公演を11月19日にZepp DiverCity（TOKYO）にて行なった。

仙台・福岡・大阪・名古屋を回った今回のツアーは、各地とも初のワンマンにもかかわらずソールドアウトを連発。全公演熱狂的な盛り上がりをみせてきた。

公演ごとに動員を伸ばし、今回のZepp DiverCity（TOKYO）に集まった観客は2,000人以上。来場者には女性はもちろん、カップルや男性客の姿も目立ち、ファン層の着実な拡がりを感じさせる。

ライヴは最新アルバムのタイトルチューン「Fashion」からスタート。舞台背面に設置されたLEDを駆使したライティング演出がクールかつ派手にステージを彩り、スタイリッシュな衣装に身を包んだメンバーがそれに呼応するように客席を煽っていく。イントロに乗せたコール＆レスポンスから「PERFECT NIGHT」、続く「BADMAN」で早くも会場は巨大ダンスパーティフロアに。

『今日は日頃のみんなのイヤなこととかネガティヴなこととか全部ここに置いていってください！ 楽しめるかいTOKYO！』とYU（Vo）が追い討ちをかけるように煽っていく。

そして『ライヴでの構成も意識して、アルバム『FASHION』では楽曲ごとの緩急にも気を配った』というメンバーの発言もあったように、中盤の「Stranger」では思わず息を飲むような静寂の空間をひとつひとつの音がどこまでも拡がっていくような幻想的な音像を再現し、続く「Marry me」では弾き語りに近いアットホームな雰囲気で客席を和ませるなど、彼らのライヴにおける新境地も披露した。

ここでメンバーがステージを捌けると、会場の雰囲気が一転。けたたましいサイレン音とともにLEDで映し出された「IDLMs. CREATIVE DIRECTION BY RESTIR EDITION」の文字。舞台後方上段に設けられたキャットウォークを、ラグジュアリー セレクトショップ「RESTIR」ブランドで着飾ったモデルたちが練り歩き、ステージ上は「FASHION SHOW」が展開。"ファッションと音楽を融合させる"というコンセプトをストレートかつ大胆に表現した演出に観客も度肝を抜かれ、最後に毛皮のコートに身を包んだYUが現れると、会場は大歓声に包まれた。

続く「Crazy」、KENJI（B）、SHUKI（Dr）のソロパートもフィーチャーされた「Freaky boy」で再びフロアはダンスモードに。後半はライヴの定番にもなりつつあるCHOJI（G）のエモーショナルなギターソロから「TOKYO BROTHERS」「FIRE」「Don't look back」を披露しテンションは最高潮に！

『"FASHION" 1st Tourファイナル、最高でした。みんなに最高のイイ顔をもらって…これからも俺らいい曲作って、ちょっとでもみんなに返せるように頑張ります。みんなも疲れたら……曲でもライヴでも、また僕らを頼ってください』というYUのMCに続いて本編ラストとなる「Tonight」を披露。＜なんだか楽しいけど切ない季節だ＞という歌詞の一節を反芻するように、名残惜しむように最後の力を振り絞り、ステージ上のメンバーも、満員の客席も一体となりジャンプする。

アンコールで登場したメンバーはMCで思いおもいにユーモアも交え感謝の意を表した。そして演奏された「Life」では、壮大なバラードに涙を流して聴き入る観客の姿も少なくなかった。

大ラスは「WE ARE YOUNG」。「完全燃焼」という言葉にふさわしい盛り上がりで、アイドラ初の全国ツアーファイナルは幕を閉じた。

最後に、ステージ上には「2017年3月　I Don't Like Mondays. プロデュースイベント　東京・大阪・名古屋で開催決定！」のアナウンスも。イベントの詳細は追って発表されるとのことだが、こちらもバンド初の試みとなり、どのような内容になるのか期待が高まる。続報に注目しよう！
