Drop'sのドラマー・奥山レイカが2017年1月8日のワンマンライブをもって脱退

Drop'sのドラマーである奥山レイカが2017年1月8日（日）に札幌・cube gardenで開催する『Drop's ONEMAN LIVE「SWEET JOURNEY BLUES」』を最後に、脱退することを発表した。

脱退にあたり、奥山レイカ、そして他4人のメンバー連名でのコメントをそれぞれ発表。奥山レイカは脱退の理由として、医師より腱鞘炎と神経脱臼の診断を受けており「自分で納得のいくプレイが出来ない事、何よりバンド活動の足を引っ張っているように感じてしまいドラムを叩く事自体にストレスを感じていくようになっていました。」と説明している。

なお、本人の「決まっているライブはやり切りたい」という意思を尊重し、現在発表されている12月の各イベントへの出演に変更はないとのこと。また、学業との両立を理由に出演を見合わせていた石橋わか乃（key）のスケジュールを再調整し、フルメンバーでの出演に変更となるイベントも合わせて発表された。

他4人のメンバー連名で「まだまだDrop'sを止めるわけにはいきません。これからも、私たちの音楽をどんどん皆さんのもとへ届けていきたいと思っています。」とコメントし、中野ミホ（Vo）、荒谷朋美（Gt）、小田満美子（Ba）は活動拠点を東京に移し、現在在学中の石橋わか乃も含め、活動を続けてくという。

年明け1月8日（日）に開催されるDrop's ONEMAN LIVE「SWEET JOURNEY BLUES」は、奥山レイカのラストライブ、また上京前の札幌在住バンドとしてラストライブとなる。同イベントのオフィシャルHP先行受付は、28日17時から開始される。

いつもありがとうございます。
ファンの皆さま、関係者の皆さま、突然このような形でのご挨拶となってしまい申し訳ありません。

私、奥山レイカはこの度、来年の1月8日をもってDrop'sを脱退することとなりました。

今年に入ってから左腕の腱鞘炎の悪化に加え、手が痺れるようになり、自分で納得のいくプレイが出来ない事、何よりバンド活動の足を引っ張っているように感じてしまいドラムを叩く事自体にストレスを感じていくようになっていました。

今の自分の状態でこの先ドラムを続けていけるのかも含め、自分自身のこれからの事、バンドのこれからの事、たくさん考えました。
結果、私は脱退することを決めました。

応援してくださるファンの皆さま、いつも支えてくれるスタッフの皆さま、そしてどんな時も一緒に活動してきたDrop'sのメンバー、私はたくさんの人に恵まれて幸せです。
今まで本当にありがとうございます。

7年間、Drop'sとして過ごした事はこれからも私にとってかけがえのない大切な思い出です。

Drop'sはこれからもずっと続いていきます。
ファンの皆さま、関係者の皆さま、どうかこれからも変わらずDrop'sをよろしくお願いします。

私たちDrop'sは、
高校の軽音楽部で出会ってからずっと一緒に音楽をつくり、色々な所へ行ってライブをして、沢山の時間を5人で過ごしてきました。

レイカと共にDrop'sを続けていきたい、という気持ちは変わらずあります。
ですが今回、彼女の腕の状態、そして心境のことを知り、メンバー、スタッフみんなで話し合いを重ねました。
その結果、このような形をとることになりました。
応援してくださる皆さんを驚かせてしまい、申し訳ありません。

正直、悔しい気持ちもあります。
ですが、
レイカのこれからの人生が、この7年間の思い出とともに素敵に輝くことを、ほんとうに祈っています。

このメンバーでの活動は一旦おわりになりますが、
まだまだDrop'sを止めるわけにはいきません。
これからも、私たちの音楽をどんどん皆さんのもとへ届けていきたいと思っています。
楽しみに待っていてください。
