陰陽座、圧巻のライヴで台湾のファンの魂が完全に重なり合う

“妖怪ヘヴィメタルバンド”の陰陽座が、6月18日（日）に台湾・台北市のLegacy Taipeiで単独ライヴ「麗しの島に頻伽舞う也」を開催した。

台湾の陰陽座ファンからの熱い支持を一身に受けて実現した、約2年ぶり3度目となるワンマンライヴ。4月末日から5月いっぱいにかけて、最新アルバム『迦陵頻伽』を引っさげての全国ツアー「頻伽の聲に応ずるが如し」で日本の陰陽座ファンの魂を一つに重ね合わせてきた陰陽座が、そのパワーを身体中に溜め切った状態で今回の台湾公演の日を迎えた。

当日は生憎の雨模様だったにも関わらず、地上に唯一の伝説の鳥“迦陵頻伽”が台湾に舞い降りるその瞬間を目撃するため、開演時間が近付くにつれてLegacy Taipeiには瞳を熱く燃やした台湾のファンが続々と集結！ 陰陽座の面々の登場を待ちわびる想いが視覚化しそうなほどの“気”の流れがステージに注がれる。

会場のBGMが客電とともにフェードアウトすると、魂の雄叫びが客席から一気に湧き上がる。その声に導かれるように陰陽座のメンバーがステージに立ち、神秘的な様相の照明演出の中で響き始めるアルバムタイトル曲「迦陵頻伽」。ヴォーカル・黒猫の神々しささえ漂う低音からの歌声に、美しい歌声を持つ半人半鳥の“迦陵頻伽”誕生の瞬間を目撃して固唾を呑んだかのように会場が静まる。しかし、すぐに羽を広げるように高音へ昇りゆく黒猫の歌声と共に、会場には拳が突き上げられていく。

「迦陵頻伽」から間髪入れず、続く「鸞」、そして「熾天の隻翼」へと。次々と妖鳥が舞う開演3 曲にして、すでに国境を越えて陰陽座と台湾のファンの魂は完全に一つに重なり合った。いや、むしろ開演後の1音目から一体化していたのだろう。

アルバム『迦陵頻伽』を中心としながらも新旧織りまぜたセットリストに、全身全霊で声援と拳を陰陽座に向ける台湾のファン。それを受け止め、全身全霊の歌とサウンドを輝きを放つほどの圧力で還す陰陽座。ステージには、セットリストが進むごとに生きた絵巻の如く、鮮やかに妖怪たちが出現する。国も言葉も関係なく、変幻自在の妖怪たちはそれぞれの眼に十色の姿を魅せるという事実が、目の前で証明されていく。

台湾語を交えながら心からの感謝の意を伝える黒猫に歓喜する会場。満面の笑顔は汗の輝きと共に弾けんばかりだ。客電が灯っても鳴り止まないアンコールに応える陰陽座のメンバーの表情も、一片の疲労の色すらなく、むしろよりエネルギーに満ちあふれていた。

陰陽座だけが創り出すことのできる幽玄の世界に足を踏み入れながら、同時に生を身体中に感じる、一件矛盾とも言える二つの観念が共存する幸福としか言えない会場。日本のファンの魂を受け、台湾のファンの魂を受け、さらなるパワーを手にした陰陽座が次に魅せてくれる世界に期待せずにはいられない。
