SCREW、最新作にヘヴィロックシーンの先駆者Mikeyが参加

　バンド結成8周年を迎えるSCREWのニューシングル「FUGLY」のアートワークが解禁され、カップリング曲「呪縛は永劫に...」にMikey Dolingがギターソロで参加していることが発表された。

　アーティスト写真もジャケットのデザインも、SCREWらしい艶やかさと毒々しさが混ざり合い、彼らの新たな色を感じさせる仕上がりになっている。公開に際し鋲（Vo）は「視覚的にも聴覚的にも新たな毒を味わって下さい」とコメントを寄せている。

　また、カップリング曲「呪縛は永劫に...」の詳細も判明。90年代半ば～末にかけてkornやLimp Bizkit（リンプ・ビズキット）等と共にヘヴィロックシーンを盛り上げた元SOULFLY、現SNOT、CHANNEL ZEROのギタリスト、Mikey Dolingギターソロで参加している。ギターの和己やドラムのジンがヘビーロック好きということもあり、 以前からMikeyと交流のあった彼らのプロデューサー告井孝通が、メジャー1stアルバム『SCREW』をMikeyに聴かせたところ「日本語ということ以外は俺たちのサウンドと同じだ！！」と語ったこともあり、いつか一緒に何かしたいという話になっていた。ギターの和己は「以前からお話を頂いていて、今回やっと実現したことを光栄に思います」と喜んでいる。同作は和己のギターソロver.もあり、こちらは配信限定でリリースされる予定。

　また、通常盤Bに収録される「至幸を狂わす半解な天秤 -New Recording Ver.」は、今もファンの間で人気がある2006年に発表した楽曲の新録。鋲（Vo）は「過去の自分達に対しての挑戦です」と語るが、果たしてどのような再構築がなされているのか、こちらも楽しみだ。
