X JAPAN、10年ぶりにライブハウスでプレミアワンマン公演開催決定

X JAPANが4月10日（火）・11日（水）の2日間、東京・Zepp DiverCityで『復活10周年記念 X JAPAN LIVE 2018 米国フェス出演直前 PREMIUM GIGS～YOSHIKI復活の夜～』を開催することが決定した。8日に放送されたYOSHIKI CHANNELの放送内でYOSHIKI自らの口から緊急発表され、開催発表と同時にチケット先行予約受付が開始された。

X JAPANは、4月13日から米国・カリフォルニア州インディオにて開催される世界屈指の野外音楽フェス『コーチェラ・ヴァレー・ミュージック・アンド・アーツ・フェスティバル（Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival）』に出演することが決定している。期間中60万人以上を集客する世界最大級の野外フェスで、X JAPANは、4月14日（土）と21日（土）に登場する。そのコーチェラフェスの前哨戦として渡米直前に開催される本公演は、術後初のフルステージとなり、ついにドラマー・YOSHIKIが本格的に帰ってくる、つまりX JAPAN が “完全復活”の時を迎える特別なステージとなる。また、2008年の東京ドーム復活公演から10周年の記念ライブとなる今回の日本公演には、スペシャルゲストとして、ガンズ・アンド・ローゼズのリチャード・フォータスと、リンプ・ビズキットのウェス・ボーランドが出演することが決定しており、ちょうど10年前の東京ドームコンサートを思い起こさせるような、彼らとの“再共演”も発表された。

なお、本公演では全国映画館にて生中継のライブビューイングも行われる。X JAPANがライブハウスで単独ライブを行うのは、2008年の大晦日に赤坂BLITZで開催したカウントダウン公演以来、実に10年ぶりとなる。これまで18回に渡って東京ドームを満員にしてきたX JAPANが、いつもの約1/20というキャパシティの会場でライブを行うのは異例中の異例。今後このようなライブハウス公演が実施される可能性は極めて低いことが予想される。今回販売される全てのチケットには、このライブのためだけにデザインされた記念グッズが付いてくるほか、開演前のサウンドチェックパーティや特別仕様グッズの特典が付いたVIPパッケージも用意されている。極限られたプレミアチケットは争奪戦になること必至。

世界屈指のフェスティバルであるコーチェラの出演枠を獲得することは、世界のトップアーティストになる登竜門と言っても過言ではないと言われている。そんな世界の大舞台への挑戦に向けた前哨戦、そして“X JAPANの完全復活”となる貴重なステージは絶対に見逃せない。
