D.W.ニコルズ、母親に向けて書いた「愛に。」MVを母の日に公開

D.W.ニコルズが発売中の4thアルバム『HELLO YELLOW』に収録されている「愛に。」のミュージックビデオをYouTubeにて公開した。

わたなべだいすけ（Vo＆AG）が自身の母親に向けて書いたという同曲は、バンド初の全国流通となった2008年の作品『愛に。』に収録。大切な人の死をテーマにした歌詞が話題を呼び、2009年のメジャーデビューにも繋がった。以来、D.W.ニコルズの代表曲のひとつとして演奏され続けてきたが、2018年、CDデビューから10年の節目に再レコーディングされ、最新アルバム『HELLO YELLOW』に収録された。

そして、『HELLO YELLOW』のコンセプトでもある「あらためまして、こんにちは」という言葉通り、新たな気持ちでもう一度同曲を広く届けたいというメンバーの意向から、新たなミュージックビデオを製作。かねてよりニコルズのファンだったという映像クリエイターとのタッグで完成した。一人の女性が成長していく姿を、風景とダンスにアニメーションを融合させるという独特の手法で表現している。
