David活動休止直後に発表!!キミを喰らうと声を上げ、SUI/Yuhma/70./知哉による「CULA(キュラ)」が産声を上げた!!

7月31日、TSUTAYA O-WESTでの公演を持って、SUIのソロプロジェクトDavidは活動を休止した。
Davidのライブの最後に、スクリーンに映し出されたのが「2019年9月30日、"キミを喰らう"」という言葉。
そしてその晩22時。「CULA」と名乗る血塗られた4人の男たちの姿がネット上に映し出されていた。
背景に流れていたのは、黒く重い歪みを上げたノイジーなギターサウンド。いわゆる重低音系の音楽だ。
そして、動画後半で告げられた「2019年9月30日(月)高田馬場AREA CULA始動主催イベント"絶痕"」の報せ。そこに名を連ねたCULA/NAZARE/SCAPEGOAT/LIRAIZO/モンストロ/SARIGIAというメンツも、とても気になった。

牙を剥きだした CULAと名乗る4人。メンバーは、上記「David(ダヴィデ)」にて活動を行っていたSUI、惜しまれつつも今年1月に解散した「FIXER(フィクサー)」の70．とYuhma、シュヴァルツカインの活動を終え約半年間FIXERのサポートDrを務めていた知哉。
バンド名のCULAの由来も現状では説明がないとはいえ、血塗られた姿や口元から鋭い牙が見えるメンバーもいるように、とあるクリーチャーが想像される。そこは、いずれメンバーらの口から語られるだろう。

解禁時に公開されたアーティストフォトが醸し出す「口元の牙」と「深紅に塗られた裸体」。
CULAの全貌解禁は、9月某日との事。このアーティスト写真ですら、何か今後の物語を示すキーワードへと昇華するのだろうか。
兎にも角にも、今回の発表に狂喜の声を上げている人たちも多いのではないだろうか。今まで、本格的に交わる事がなかったSUIと、70./Yuhma/知哉の3人。それそれにイベントライブでの共演はあったとはいえまさかこんな心踊らせる化学反応を示すとは…。
この四人がどんな鋭い牙を剥いた激しい音楽で襲いかかってくるのか、「絶痕」の宣教者達。その始まりの時が楽しみだ。
