PENICILLIN結成30周年目前、最後の新曲達は粒揃い。2021年パンフレット付きCD第二弾『Euphoria』8月27日より受注開始！

昨年、完全受注限定生産のもと、連続で販売した豪華パンフレット付きCD「pulse」と「impulse」。今年もPENICILLINは、同じく完全受注限定生産という形を取り、2枚の豪華パンフレット付きCDを制作。先日、第一弾作になる「Utopia」の受注を完了。このたび、第二弾となる「Euphoria」の受け付けを始める。今回は、8月27日(金)より9月9日(木)まで受け付けを実施。この時期を逃すと手に出来ないように、少しでも気になった方は、迷わず行動に移していただきたい。

前作「UTOPIA」では、愛車（自転車）やPlay Station 5を題材にHAKUEIの日常を楽曲にしてきたPENICILLINだったが、本作「Euphoria」でも東京オリンピックを題材にするなど、“今のHAKUEIの関心事”が楽曲に綴られている。
「東京で観れるオリンピックという歴史的な現実が目の前にあったからこそ、どうしても歌を通して、その歴史を書いておきたかった」(HAKUEI)ことから誕生した「Tokyo glory」。「「聖・MARIAN HURRICANE」のような明るく力強い開放的な楽曲を書きたかった」(千聖)ことから誕生した「still alive」。「聴いた人がいろんな思いを巡らせながら、サビでは大合唱したくなる曲にしたかった」(O-JIRO)ことで誕生した「想創シンドローム」。さらに、Type;Aのボーナストラックとして、HAKUEI流のTHE FIRST TAKE曲「Too young to die !(Cinematic ver.)」を収録。こちらは原曲のアレンジとはまったく異なる、PENICILLINのプロデューサー重盛美晴の手による「映画の中で流れる効果音的なトラックに乗せた歌」に仕上がっている。Type;Bには、収録曲について熱く語った3人それぞれのパーソナルロングインタビューを収録。
近年のリリースペースを考えると、おそらくこのアイテムがPENICILLIN結成30周年目前、最後のオリジナル楽曲となる可能性が高いだろう。そして、来年はついに30周年イヤーに突入する。来たる30周年に向けて、本作品でPENICILLINの『現在』をしっかり堪能してほしい。
