WEAVERのベスト盤『ID』はMV集やインタビュー、秘蔵写真など彼らのすべてを網羅

　6月11日にリリースされるWEAVERのベストアルバム『ID』のジャケット写真が公開され、その詳細が公表された。

　タイトルにちなみ、WEAVERの歴史がしっかりと刻み込まれたかのようなIDタグと、それをあたたかく包む込む手のひらが印象的なジャケットとなっている。今作『ID』は、これまでの活動におけるターニングポイントとなった楽曲が、制作された順に収録されているベストアルバム。そんな彼らの当時を振り返るメンバーインタビューや秘蔵写真、さらに活動をまとめたライナーノーツなどが入った歌詞ブックレットも封入され、この1枚でWEAVERを網羅できる作品だ。

　合わせて、初回盤に収録されるMV集の収録曲もすべて公開された。今回新たに発表されたMVは3本。先日リリースされたばかりのシングル「こっちを向いてよ」（映画『百瀬、こっちを向いて。』主題歌）のオリジナルver.で、現在公開されているMVとは別バージョンというその内容が気になるところ。またタイの人気バンドInstinctとコラボレートした楽曲「Time Will Find A Way」「Light」のMVも収録。「Light」に関しては日本未発売なので今回が初のパッケージ化。これらを含めた全19曲、約90分のフルボリュームのミュージッククリップ集となる。

　そして初回盤にはアルバムタイトルとも連動する“オリジナルIDタグ”が封入される。このIDタグを活用するとWEAVERが結成間もない高校時代に初めてレコーディングされた楽曲「Whistling in the dark」も入手できるという。そして、今秋開催される1年半ぶりの全国ツアー『WEAVER“ID"TOUR 2014「Leading Ship」』のチケット最速先行抽選予約カードも封入された盛りだくさんの内容となっている。
