WEAVER、シンガポールで開催されるアジアの音楽フェスに日本代表として出演

7月にロンドン留学から帰国、現在ベストアルバムを引っ提げての全国ツアー真っ最中のWEAVER。11月22日にシンガポールにて開催されるアジアの音楽フェスティバル『Sundown Festival 2014』に日本代表として出演することが決定した。

『Sundown Festival』は、シンガポールで毎年開催されるアジアの音楽と文化にフォーカスしたフェスティバル。アジアの多様なエンターテインメントをショーケースし、アジア文化とエンターテインメントをつなぐことをミッションとしている。年々参加国が増え、4回目となる2014年は日本、インドネシア、台湾、香港、韓国、中国、タイ、マレーシア、フィリピン、インド、シンガポールの11の国と地域が参加予定で、各国を代表するアーティストが出演する。

WEAVERは、2012年に初の海外公演をシンガポールにて行い、同年9月にも二度目のシンガポール公演を果たした。2013年5月には、世界3大音楽見本市の1つ『Music Matters 2013』内「J-Rock Matters」へも出演しライヴを披露。アジアでの知名度、実績を着実に高めてきている中で今回4度目となるシンガポールでのライヴ。ロンドン留学も終え、成長したWEAVERの新たなステージをアジアに提示する良い機会となりそうだ。

なお、引き続きベストアルバム『ID』を引っ提げた全国ツアー『WEAVER “ID" TOUR 2014 「Leading Ship」』を開催中のWEAVER。残すところ5公演となったが、こちらにも是非足を運んでほしい。
