MAN WITH A MISSION×Zebrahead、共作EPリリース決定

MAN WITH A MISSION×ZebraheadのスプリットEP「Out of Control」が、2015年5月20日（水）にリリースされる。

古くから親交が深かったMAN WITH A MISSIONとZebraheadだが、新曲「Out of Control」は、MAN WITH A MISSIONのメンバーがレコーディング作業で渡米中に、スタジオに駆けつけたZebraheadと共に一から書き上げた共作曲。Zebrahead特有のパンクロックを基調としつつも、「究極の生命体」であるMAN WITH A MISSIONならではのデジタル感も融合された、両バンドの特徴が前面に押し出されたハイブリッドパンクロックに仕上がっている。

また、このEPの表題曲「Out of Control」が、6月20日（土）より全国公開となるアクション超大作『マッドマックス　怒りのデス・ロード』の日本版エンディングソングとして起用されることが決定している。

日本版エンディングソングとなる「Out of Control」は、『マッドマックス　怒りのデス・ロード』の監督であるジョージ・ミラー自らが、MAN WITH A MISSIONの音楽を気に入った事がきっかけで起用に至ったそうだ。マッドマックスの世界観にシンクロした、正に『制御不能』な楽曲と映画が奇跡のコラボが実現した。映画内の疾走感とクレイジーな世界観と楽曲の世界観が見事にマッチしている。MAN WITH A MISSIONとしては、ハリウッドメジャー洋画作品への提供は初めてのこととなる。

■『マッドマックス』シリーズとは
1979年、ジョージ・ミラー監督が当時全く無名のメル・ギブソンを主演に放った映画『マッドマックス』---
第一作目にして伝説となったこの作品は、低予算でありながらも、改造車をふんだんに使い、カーアクション映画の金字塔となった。同時に、当時全く無名だったメル・ギブソンを一躍スターダムに押し上げた。
1981年に『マッドマックス2』が公開され全世界で大ヒット、荒廃した世界感、改造車と暴走族、モヒカン刈りなど、1980年代のポップカルチャーに大きな影響を与えた。日本でも人気漫画「北斗の拳」（原作：武論尊／作画：原哲夫）に多大な影響を与えたと言われている。
1985年には、ティナ・ターナーらを迎え、更に大スケールとなった『マッドマックス／サンダードーム』が公開された。サンダードームのタイトル通り、ドーム内の金網リングで繰り広げられるバトルアクションが主となっている。
