MAN WITH A MISSION×Zebrahead、豪華スプリットEPの全貌が明らかに

5月20日（水）にリリースされるMAN WITH A MISSION（以下、MWAM）と、ZebraheadのスプリットEPのトラックリスト、並びに特典DVDの収録内容、アートワークが公開となった。

CDには先月開催された"PUNK SPRING 2015"のステージでコラボパフォーマンスが行なわれたことも記憶に新しい、共作楽曲の「Out of Control」の他、Zebraheadの新曲2曲とMWAMの新曲、さらにMWAMの人気楽曲「database」にZebraheadのAliがラップで参加した、「database feat. Ali（Zebrahead）」を収録。MWAMの新曲は、世界的プロデューサー ドン・ギルモアが手掛けた「The Cure」。今までのMWAMらしさをしっかりと受け継ぎながらも新たな側面を垣間見ることの出来るミドルナンバーである。この楽曲は映画『新宿スワン』の挿入歌としても起用される事が、明らかとなった。またZebraheadの新曲「Lockjaw」は早弾きギターリフと攻撃的なサウンドが特徴的な、アゲアゲなロックナンバー。もう1曲の「Blue Light Special」はこれぞZebraheadと言える、どこか切なく懐かしいメロディーに勢いのあるパンクサウンドに仕上がっている。

ジャケットにはボクシングのグローブをはめたMWAMのヴォーカル・TOKYO TANAKAと、シマウマ頭の男が対峙するインパクトのあるイラストが描かれ、Zebrahead来日時に撮影されたという写真も、両メンバー総勢10名が1列に並んだ類を見ない仕上がりに。

また、注目なのは初回生産限定盤の特典DVD。「狼vs縞馬 ガチンコ5番勝負 MISSION」、「"Out of Control" Music Video Shooting Documentary」の2本立てとなっている。“ガチンコ5番勝負"では一体どのような対決が繰り広げられているのか、「Out of Control」のMusic Videoはどのような内容になっているのか、こちらは初回盤の特典となっているので、気になるファンは一日も早く予約をしてゲットしよう。

なお表題曲「Out of Control」は、映画『マッドマックス　怒りのデス・ロード』の日本版エンディングソングに起用されており、本日4月20日から同曲が使用された予告映像が公開となっているので、こちらもチェックしてみよう。
