Mayday、初の武道館公演を記念してニューシングルリリース決定

先日、台湾のバンドとして初の日本武道館2Days公演を発表するなど、日本での活動が活発化してきた5人組バンド・Mayday。彼らが日本武道館2Days公演の前の6月17日に、約1年ぶりのシングルをリリースすることが決定した。

今シングルは、台湾本国でも新しい楽曲である「將軍令」と「九號球」を、いしわたり淳治氏が日本語詞を書き下ろした「YOUR LEGEND ～燃ゆる命～（將軍令 日本語ver.）」「追憶のナインボール（九號球 日本語ver.）」とそれぞれのオリジナルver.に加え、ベスト盤にも未収録だった人気曲「盛夏光年」「星空」の全6曲が収録される。スケール感あふれる抜群なバンドサウンドと、力強いボーカルが存在感を示すロック・チューン「YOUR LEGEND ～燃ゆる命～」。ギターのMONSTERが初の日本語歌唱にトライし、ASHINと共にツインヴォーカルで切なさを彩る「追憶のナインボール」は、表題曲とは打って変わったしっとりとした表情を見せつつも、力強いギターのリフが支える印象的なバラードとなる。これらの収録楽曲は、Maydayの存在感を様々な表情で楽しむことができる、贅沢な仕上がりとなっている。

また初回盤には、これまで数々の会場でライブを開催し、ソールドアウトしてきた彼らのライブの魅力を伝えるべく、メンバー自身がセレクトしたライブ映像を収録したDVDが付く。もはや伝説となりつつある、2日間で20万人を動員した、“鳥の巣"（北京スタジアム）でのライブ映像をはじめ、まさしく“スタジアムロック"と呼ばれる彼らの根源や魅力が堪能できる作品となっており、数々のワールドクラスのステージングが体感できる、ファンならずとも必見の映像ばかりが収録されている。
